I love Talbot but I wouldn't give up much to get him. He'd look really nice on our 4th line, but he makes quite a bit for that role.

Yeah we could use him. Did he ever wanted to play for the habs. Talbot strikes me as someone who just hates this org and would rather sign Siberia than play here.

Maybe I'm wrong

I'd rather Talbot than Moen any day, but if we were to go after him, I hope there isn't an overpayment on our end.

I didn't realize the Habs PK was that ******... 21st? 79%? God damn, why did Therrien decide to change something that was clearly working in the past years?

+1

I think Talbot is too much of the same. Would add depth but no new dimension

Desharnais and Bouillon were just extended
Isn't that enough?

Well, he'd be an improvement over some pieces of our team.

But I really, but really, wouldn't call him a "need".

Or better yet let's just watch Dumont develop as our very own Talbot.

You are wrong, Max Talbot is a gritty center. Kills penalty and can drive to the net. Every winning team needs guys like Prust and Talbot. I would offer Ryan White and a 3rd for Talbot.

IMO there's some small sample size noise in that PK stat. For one thing, Price's PK save this season % is .804. I don't think that's due to a change in the team's PK scheme (Budaj's is .880) and I don't think Price is a poor PK goalie (last year's was .907).

They are trying the diamond formation. Which is terrible at the NHL level at something they shouldn't have tried to introduce especially since the old system dominated.

I don't think you could possibly consider a guy like Talbot to be close to Diaz in value. 4-5 defenseman way more valuable than a decent bottom sixer.
