Krejci and Horton are pretty bad in a crowd..I hate to say it but it's true.

I'd like for that line to get a speed injection somehow, too. But it looks like it will be Peverley, and not Spooner.

I think that a package of Horton and or Jared Knight or Ryan Spooner can get you Bobby Ryan.. Anahiem gets an expiring contract along with a young forward with a lot potential and not costing them a lot on their payroll and we get a proven 30 goal scorer who fits right in with us..

You're really eager to trade Horton and our top prospects for Bobby Ryan, huh? Do you have any reason to believe this would/could happen, other than your own desire to see it reach fruition?

Also, while it might create more productivity on the first line, it certainly doesn't address the depth issues, only put more pressure on the top line to score even more to compensate for the other lines.

Let's play this out:

Anaheim could instead keep Ryan (the better player) for this season. Then this offseason they can put him on the market and will certainly get more than Spooner or Knight (a lot more).

So, what would they gain by taking a lesser player (Horton) now?

Anaheim makes a cup run this year with all of them and then tries to get rid of Bobby Ryan that way in the offseason. It's funny that he's the odd man out there and he's the classiest of all of them. I don't think they can keep all of them with all the contracts that will have to take place.

If Boston wants to go after him in the offseason, I'm all for it. Even if it meant not resigning Horton. Ryan's the effing man and a talent to boot. Coming into his prime then too. Then when him and Lucic are up in a couple years you sell off Lucic and we are good.

So tired of watching these 2 guys play 1 game out of 10. Watching the game Tonight against Ottawa, 2nd period and nothing again... No Jump, No physical play, No emotion, Nothing...Ottawa just scored, 1 - 0, The Krejci line is out there right after the goal and Lucic needs to get into a fight or hit someone hard to get his team back in this game.. and NOTHING!!

Boy do I miss the Lucic that did this...

Lucic has totally forgotten what got him in this league making $$$$$$

either that, or now that he has his contract, other things in life matter more to him and he has lost his youthful inner aggression and anger

it is depressing to watch his play so much this year

Worst game of the year for Lucic?

In 2010-11 when he got 30 goals, he had over 2 shots per game. This year he's around 1.5, and doesn't hit. What's he good for? Honestly?

Lucic made 1 good play in the whole game: the little touch pass late in the 3rd that lead to a chance.

Other than that he seemed totally useless to me. Paille literally more valuable.

He's eleventh in the NHL in hits, so that debunks that point.

He needs to start skating, he looks like he's gliding out there half the time. Both him and Horton are dogging it without any consistent effort. Start moving more out there and good things will happen. Until then, their inconsistent pathetic effort will continue.

You have got to be kidding me, trade Lucic and Horton? Lucic is a style player that every team in this league wishes they had. Right now, both he and horty are slumping big time. They know they're playing terrible right now. The inconsistency is the issue, they need to break this funk.

I'd be happy with that stat if he was actually putting some force in his hits, when they do that stat so often what is called a "hit" is just some light contact..... watching Lucic it seems like he is hitting at 25% power now (Chara does the same, by the way)

Hard to hit hard when you're skating slow.

Thanks to Lucic this team woke up and got the two points. He turned it on 3rd period, big time. Let's skip that though and keep the bashing up...Well done.

Lucic for Semin and Ryan Murphy. Get it done Chia!

I noticed that as well. Thats the annoying part for both Lucic and Horton, it's either all or absolutely nothing. Especially Horton, seems to just glide around sometimes with a lazy effort. Also, can someone teach Lucic what to do on an odd man rush! For christs sake I have seen him totally screw up several odd man rushes this year all on his own.

We know that (his high ranking was mentioned just a few posts ago). What's being questioned is the intensity of those hits.

Looch's skating speed in the first stretch of the season was high, but he has considerably slowed down of late.

Does Rick Nash have any thoughts on that?

A little off topic, but I wish they would move Paille up( I know the 4th line has so much chemistr, but one has none and the other does nothing. And I'm not saying to the first line

Paille-Spooner-And I guess....Peverly?
