Agree with Engblom. Bogo was the best defenseman out there today. And I'm one to usually slobber over him. But unlike every other d-man out there, I wasn't terrified when he was on the ice. I guess...that's something.

I think he gave too much credit for Holtby being a 'hot goaltender' though. We didn't challenge him much. 12 shots after 2 periods. One highlight reeler vs. Mittens. It wasn't Holtby, it was that the Caps outpaced, outworked, outpossessed, outshot, and outplayed the Jets. Special teams, 5-on-5. Controlled 85% of the play.

Cue the sad trombone.

Did you guys see in the 1st period behind the Caps net when a Caps player grabbed a Jets player stick and the Jets player let go of his stick and the Caps player was still holding and then threw it.

Reffing was a joke.

Calmed down near the end.

Sadly I'm out of tequila. I actually have no booze in the house. In the time I need it most.

Lol yeah. Reffing was pretty bad but so use to it, i dont even bother complaining. But that isnt an excuse for the jets poor performance today. Its like noel said, jets were playing checkers while the caps were playing chess.

Yikes, well that sure sucked. I guess the only silver lining is that the Hurricanes lost and we've a chance to redeem ourselves tomorrow.

Only entertainment of the night was the near scrap in section 301.

Seriously, worst Jets home game I've attended. Just garbage. Even that game where we got pumped by the Oilers last year was more enjoyable.

One of the worst games I've ever been in attendance for. Couldn't even send out 5 players on even strength in the 1st and to top it off it took Kane/Noel 10 seconds or more to figure it out.

Bogosian was the best Jets player by far.

Tangradi had a great game I thought. Forced a lot of turnovers.

Burmi is getting too cute with the puck and turned it over a few times.

Pavelec was soft, but came up with some big saves.

Antro well . He was beat to the puck on every shift, could not generate offence, did not want to throw a hit.

LLW had a decent game. They never gave up but couldn't get their passing together either.

Stuart with a piss poor effort tonight and was injured for his efforts

PP was garbage (what's new?). Caps were flying and not giving us any space on the PP.

Miettenen with a good game, but missed on some great chances.

I really hope this team comes out pissed off tomorrow. We played the physical game, but could not connect on our passes.

Feel for Kane having to play with his Uncle Jokinen and Aunty Mittens.

Do some of you now see why the 4th line gets so little ice time, taking the puck off Burmi like taking candy from a baby.

Buff and Clitsome looked dopey as heck.

Caps figured out the Jets, shut down LLW and you win.

I didn't think Mittens was that bad. I mean he had good timing on two rushes and joined the play at the right time. Just didn't finish them.

Joker was awful out there though. Like drunk. Or scotch tape on the bottom of his skate blades.

And if last game wasn't Buff's worst game, this one was.

Mittens at least knows what to do on a rush and to position himself in scoring position, certain guy (#8) should take notes.

It's somewhat distressing that Burmistrov has seemingly regressed since that press box stint. He hasn't even flashed good decision-making, it's been one soft turnover after another with him.

Having said that, Jokinen has been absolutely pitiful of late, and desperate time call for desperate measures. It might not be next game or the game after that, but at some point, I think they're going to have to give Burmi an extended trial on Kane's line. There's nothing happening with that line, Jokinen and Kane have shown zero chemistry.

Buff's giveaways lately have been maddening, but he at least deserves some credit for attempting to create offense.
