System? What system?

Plan? What plan?

Oil Change is not doing Ralph any favors, when he has the power-point going and all the players have their arms crossed, trying to stay warm and awake.

I've been saying all year that Wreck-It Ralph is in over his head

-constantly out-coached in key situations (mainly 3rd periods)

-playing not to lose by taking Yak out of games

-having RNH, Eberle, Gagner and Hemsky on a PP in OT...one shooter with a busted up hand...ya, there's a recipe for failure

-for a motivational speaker, this guy has his team ultra-fragile in 3rd periods...can't win when tied going into the 3rd...blowing 2 goal leads AT HOME is unforgivable

-only Tambo would promote an assistant from a 29th place team...terrible hire by Tambo (much like Fat Quinn)

And about hating every coach, the oilers just promote the last assistant, keeping what didn't work alive. They do the same with management too, just bringing back past failures instead of trying something new.
Hilarious. In the history of this board, every coach has had a Fire <insert name> thread. Oiler posters are notorious for being overreactive in their criticism of coaches.

Yes, Oiler posters on this board hate every coach. I firmly believe that. The overreaction after every Oiler loss is absolutely predictable.

Oh really? Strange, San Jose also shortened their bench in the third. By your definition, they must have been thinking defense too!

Not in the same way Wreck-it shortens our bench.

They didn't replace Couture with Burish.

Couture > Yakupov. Right now at least.

that has nothing to do with anything...are you really ingnoring his point?

if you want to directly compare players so badly, why don't you help me out with this equation:

yakupov _______ petrell
a) >
b) <
c) =

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm tough call. glad we have a professional coach to make important decisions like that.

Think things would have been better with Brent Sutter? His NHL coaching resume is spotty at best. The last few late game let downs could be avoided with a few more craft veterans who can lockdown a game, we are not there yet.

i'm not saying he has a great pool of options, but their are very simple decisions that could be made to improve our chances:

neverevervevervevereverevereververeverevereverever verererevevevrvrvrverererrvrvrvr increase petrell's 5v5 minutes in the third period.

that single decision is just throwing points away.

I posted this elsewhere but it is probably more applicable here:

Yes, youth, lack of defensive centers and no D. That's why you keep the pedal to the floor and use your advantage, not your weakness. RK has been a disappointment to me. You can check my entire posting history, I've been around a while, and I am not a negative person but RK has a plan and reality be damned. He looks at his bench where we have none of the above but goes with it anyway. Use your strength, offense. Never take your foot off the gas if you have no breaks!

How old is this board? Since you have been a member look at the geniuses that have been coaches here. It's not like any of them get a decent job offer after they leave here.

Remember when we had the 4th line out against Thornton's line multiple times, even though we had last line change?

What is the common denominator between all the recent coaches of the oilers? Furberger hired in 2008...shortly there after MacT is run out of town. Quinn is one and done. Renney not much better. Now there is Krueger making bizarre decisions... could it be that Buchy is actually the man behind the curtain??
