I've always wanted Manhoef-Anderson. That'd just be pure fun.

Heck he may even do it earlier in the fight. Hunt's ground game has improved, but it's still very weak and BJJ black belt should be able to finish him at that point rather easily.
And in the back of my head, I fully expect JDS' game plan to be just take him down immediately. We all know JDS has good striking but why not for once take the safe and easy path to victory?

I'd definitely be very interested in seeing that. I'd love to see JDS sub Hunt.

Look like Hunt may have asked for more money for the JDS fight which is what the "Hunt refused the fight" statement from Dana was all about (and he was full of **** since Hunt said he never turned down the fight). He does not specifically mention $$$ in the interview but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out

[UFC 160: Mark Hunt - 'Dana listened, then fixed the problem

UFC Heavyweight Mark Hunt was Ariel Helwani's guest on the MMA Hour today and he explained some of the behind the scenes issues that nearly prevented him from getting a shot at former champ Junior dos Santos at UFC 160. "I just wasn't happy with some of the things that were getting done here. As an employee of a company, I shouldn't be treated the way I was being treated. I didn't think it was fair.

"Dana listened to what I had to say, which was pretty cool," Hunt continued. "I voiced my opinions about different things that I wasn't happy about, and now I'm [happy]. He said, ‘You know, I can't fix the problem if I don't what the problem is.' He's being pushed so many places because he's got a big company. But I said, you know, being the boss of the company should know what goes on. I was happy he listened and then he fixed the problem. It was good. He's a good person. He listened to what I had to say and sorted it out, so it was fine."
Anyway it's all behind now and we will have Hunt vs JDS which is awesome. I'm glad both sides were able to come to terms.

WAR HUNTO !!!!

Hunt also took a CC kick when the two fought in K-1. Hunt got knocked onto his butt and just simply got up.

Chad Mendes just can't get a break. Finally gets a high profile fight again against Clay Guida, and now Guida pulls out due to injury.

Jordan Mein is replacing the injured Dan Hardy at UFC on Fox 7. Fantastic fight.

I should've noted that Mein is replacing Dan Hardy at UFC on Fox 7 against Matt Brown. And yes, great fight.
Mein is crazy. He just fought last week and is ready to go again. I've been a Mein fan for a while now so I hope he puts on a show. This is a big fight regardless but it could be huge for him if they keep it on the main card. He has been fighting all over Alberta for years and might just be the next star coming out of Canada.

Was an article on Bloody Elbow (i think) where he was saying his recovery is just ice and acupuncture.... that's all. Helps to be 25 or whatever but anyway.

for anyone out there that has chronic pain... acupuncture works on me and this guy apparently. I recommend trying it.

This a big test for him against a savage like Matt Brown.

So it turns out that Dan Hardy wasn't actually injured, but rather failed his pre-fight testing due to an irregular heart beat pattern he has been diagnosed with. Apparently it's something he has always had but it has never affected him and never been discovered until now because the California commission administers an EKG as part of their pre-fight testing while other commissions don't. So I guess no more fights in California for Dan Hardy!

Lamas, Korean Zombie, Edgar, Oliveira, Siver and Swanson. That's 5 of the 6 top FW fighting on the same card. Should make for some eacy matchmaking down the road.

For sure. I like what they did with the Edgar fight as well. They're not going to let him eliminate one of the top contenders (TKZ, Lamas, Swanson, Siver) and he'll have to win at least two more fights before he gets a shot at the title again.

Looks like Gustaffson could be pulled from his headlining fight next Saturday against Gegard Mousasi in Sweden. If Gus can't go, I don't know what the UFC will do with that fight, let alone card. The card was pretty weak to begin with and I can't imagine they'll find a suitable replacement to fight Mousasi on less than a week's notice. Only option I can see is to pull Phil Davis from his fight at the end of the month, he might be ready to go, but that's a lot to ask from him. Tom Lawlor, who's also fighting on the card said he'd take the fight lol. Ideally Glover or Machida would take the fight, but less than a week out, I can't imagine either would be in fighting shape. Watch Chael take this fight, then fight Jones at the end of the month.

It begs the question, why is Gustafsson participating in intense sparring one week out from a big fight? Do they not wear head gear?

Gustafsson off the card probably means everyone wants a refund. No saving that card.

An already poor card is completely ruined if Gustafsson is out. Those Swedish fans aren't going to be happy.

Phil Davis could be a decent replacement but asking a LHW to fly to Sweden and then immediately start cutting weight is asking a lot. Any MWs who could take the fight at 205?
