Nice depth addition, especially for a conditional 5th. I'll drink to that.

Meh... he looked bigger then that when I saw him play here. Oh well, size aside, we've just added another bottom 6 forward.

We have a ton of bottom 6 forwards to choose from... too bad we don't have that same problem with our top 6.

Even if he's nothing special, the added depth won't hurt. Hopefully this means we don't have to see Sestito and Anderson on the big club any more.

Just a heads up, with a healthy roster, CBGB is now our 4th line. Lou has quietly made a bunch of moves to make our forward group very deep when healthy. Still lack some top line talent, but depth is just as if not more important in the playoffs.

Lou is doing well this year.
I agree. When everyone is healthy, D'Agostini hopefully fits in on the third line and Kostopoulos can fill in on the fourth line if any of the CBGB's get injured.

Good skater, good shot, solid hands. We need a guy like that. He likely plays with Kovy eventually, to be honest. He struggles along the boards though, I do agree with that, but he's improved a lot since he left the Habs.

He's struggled but it's not like he looks completely out of place. Guy had 46 points at age 24. I think it's a very good low risk high reward move.

With a healthy roster, Elias won't play center.

Zubrus - Loktionov - Kovy
Elias - Henrique - D'agostini/Clarkson
Poni - Zajac - D'agostini/Clarkson
CBGB

didnt give up much of anything so i see this as a no risk move. not expecting a ton from him, but one thing that i do like is i believe he brings a lot of speed which the devils lineup can definitely use regardless of where he fits in.

I'm not wow'd by D'Agostini, but I'll at least admit he's got a higher ceiling than Barch or Kostopolous. Any move that gets Barch further out of the lineup and CBGB back to being the 4th line is good by me.

He plays bigger than he is though. Was just saying.

And agreed, but the deadline is still ahead of us. Although nobody expects anything big.

We are throwing away late round picks like it's a disease or something. I know it's not much for a NHL caliber player but we've managed to move 4 picks for guys like Poni and D'Agostini.

the most important to me is that CBGB is finally back to be our 4th line.
Clarkson demoted to the 3rd line would be the icing on the cake.

I have not seen him play...just linking to a scouting source on HOW he plays versus stats.

His point totals this year and last don't particularly agree with that statement.

I'm liking his advanced metrics though... Solid pick up for the 3/4 line.

That`s OK. In games I`ve seen him play in, he didn`t struggle in that departement is all. Maybe he has inconsistency issues, who knows.
