Gallagher has put life into the Habs. I didn't anticipate that he'd play a key role in their rebirth this season. I took it for granted that Prust would fit in very well and I had hopes for Diaz (who I felt would supplant Weber). Rivaling Gallagher as the biggest surprise of the season were the Cole trade, the Bourque revival, and the arrival of Galchenyuk. Who could imagine these developments on Day 1? The tankards have been awfully silent recently. Their superegos forbid the idea of the Habs leading the Bruins so late in the season and not far from clinching a playoff berth. Now even Armstrong has started scoring goals. Are we approaching Armageddon? Should the tankards begin their self-flagellation? Repent! Repent!

Back in 2010, Gallagher was voted the top10 steal of the draft. Even though I don't know anything about prospect selection, I knew that there was something special about him. His size made him fell in the 5th round but this guy is totally a 1st round pick. Listening to the radio at some Giants games made me realized how gritty this player is. =)
The only problem will always be his size: he needs to be with a big center and wing. I hope that we won't see Gionta-Desharnais-Gallagher together because the three of them could get injured during the same game on the same shift.
Now I can't wait to see Tim Bozon at the Habs developping camp!
