Because the people going to the game are not ashamed, rather they are quite proud to support their team as they destroy the Colorado Avalanche in the Pepsi Center.

Perhaps we should trade them both while they are at high values even though we just signed them. Both are above our "core" age group and will be on the wrong side of 30 when this team is finally ready to compete in 2-3 years.
By then our 2013 draft pick (probably 2014 top 10 pick too), Siemens, Sgarbossa, and Hishon will finally be up on the big team. Package one with Elliott and one with Stastny and we could get a defense man and a winger or something like that.
I think it would be the dumbest thing this organization could do if they traded away PAP. The guy is an awesome fit on this team. Don't forget, he had 67 points last season and is playing at a PPG pace this year, it's not like he had 30 pts last year and is playing over his head.

He's been with Duchene all season and both of those guys feed off each other extremely well. He's part of the solution moving forward.

I'd actually prefer to keep Mitchell as well as he's shown he's a good fit on this team as well and signed for a reasonable amount for another year.

Exactly... us Avs fans are too ashamed to show up! I just sit on the couch and wear my bag.

I'm watching Kurt Russell do a better job pretending to be a NHL coach than Joe Sacco. Guess which one is the movie actor?

I dunno, man, the fact the Sacco actually said the team had a great start and kept a straight face...to me that requires some serious acting chops.

Peer pressure made me vote for him as well.
And now I'm embarrassed.

Can't even do a coaches poll seriously. Is HF full of ten year olds?
Apparently we are

I'd argue that taking internet polls seriously is not particularly healthy. Using them to provide entertainment is.

Let's see.... Sacco has a crappy record vs the NW division.. against coachs like the many faces they've had in Edmonton and Calgary.

Wonder how he'll do against the likes of ... Hitchcock, Quenneville, Trotz .... yeah, it could actually get worse.

I went and chipped in, tied for 1st now. The OP should just save the thread and call it "Rank the NHL Head Coaches 30-1: #30"

It's because fans of other teams don't appreciate the blocking of the shots and the clogging of the lanes enough.
