Same could be said about PAP too.
Perhaps we should trade them both while they are at high values even though we just signed them. Both are above our "core" age group and will be on the wrong side of 30 when this team is finally ready to compete in 2-3 years.
By then our 2013 draft pick (probably 2014 top 10 pick too), Siemens, Sgarbossa, and Hishon will finally be up on the big team. Package one with Elliott and one with Stastny and we could get a defense man and a winger or something like that.
I think it would be the dumbest thing this organization could do if they traded away PAP. The guy is an awesome fit on this team. Don't forget, he had 67 points last season and is playing at a PPG pace this year, it's not like he had 30 pts last year and is playing over his head.
He's been with Duchene all season and both of those guys feed off each other extremely well. He's part of the solution moving forward.
I'd actually prefer to keep Mitchell as well as he's shown he's a good fit on this team as well and signed for a reasonable amount for another year.
