Flames fans everywhere are truly upset about this.

But in all seriousness, I couldn't see Iggy going there anyways.

Feaster always does his due dilligence when attempting to acquire players.

Not looking to bring in anyone. Canucks are ready for the cup run as is.

He obviously wants to bring in a center, so it's not like he doesn't want to add to this team.
Who knows, maybe he wants to add two centers and move Kesler to the wing.

But nonetheless, I would have loved to acquire Iginla (or Jagr).

Jagr and Roy would do wonders for your teams cup run. Might be enough to push you over the hump.

Morrow isn't going anywhere. If Iggy is willing to talk a multi-year extension, then Pouliot could possibly be on the table.

For his services as a rental, I have a tough enough time seeing Shero parting with any of our D prospects. That's just the way he is.

depends on the cost of course, but I would agree, although I don't think Dallas would give both of those guys up seeing as they are still in the playoff race

Dear Lord, are you one of those people that became a Pens fan after the Crosby draft? This is so incorrect it's not even funny. Wait, it is funny.

So glad I'm not the only one. I don't think I've looked away from my laptop or phone in about 4 days.

Ignore all Pens fans who suggest any winger on our roster is better than Iggy. It's complete nonsense. False. Misguided. Stupid. Sad. And painful to read.

I agree with you. Even at 35 Iggy brings more to the table than any of the Pens wingers.

I wouldn't count it out. Morrow and Pouliot could very well be involved in conversations; Calgary is extremely familiar with those two. Maata might the defensive prospect this board wants to give up... but I doubt he's first when it comes to prospects being discussed. Calgary passed him over in the draft, and I see no reason why Feaster wouldn't pursue Morrow and Pouliot hard first.

Sorry to say, but it's true. Iggy isn't who he once was. In his prime, he is better than Neal and Kunitz, but now Neal is clearly better, and Kunitz is arguable.

If you're confident that Iggy would resign with us, then I think Pouliot would be available. Won't be easy to pry him away, but an elite winger next to Sid in his prime is tough to pass up on. Especially a guy who's hungry to win a Cup. That kind of playoff edge is what Shero should be looking for.

Someone should check if Gillis' pants are on fire.
