Hopefully he's close, if Murray wants to turn Bishop into a piece for this season (as opposed to "futures" he might get in the offseason / closer to the draft), the window is there right now in Phoenix.
And don't look now but Tampa Bay just lost Lindback for 6-8 weeks with a high ankle sprain. They wanted Bishop before us but we offered a higher 2nd round pick.

I don't know how serious Tampa is at this point, though.

5 points out of 8th in a shortened season, already down Lecavalier for an extended period... they might just pack it in and look towards next season.

It would be the sensible thing to do honestly

They should trade Bishop to Winnipeg, because:

Last year Anderson is assaulted by a ravenous dead chicken and misses a chunk of time. This year it's the hideous ankle sprain of mystery . . . either this is some strange coincidence or this guy is injury prone.

This team has never been that forthcoming with injury news.

I miss Andy.

Our goaltending has been fine, but I miss Andy. Aside from being amazing, he's also probably one of the most humble Senators that's ever played for us. He'd always credit the teammates and fans over himself. Great to see the good guys like Anderson who were career nobodies emerge as legitimate great players.

Looks like he is getting closer. According to St. Laurent he was taking a few shots before practice.

You try getting run over in your crease, with your leg in that position and see what happens.

It was always thought of to be more like week to week than day-to-day, but this is getting into the "it's time to come back now" territory.

participated in full practice and stayed on with wamsley taking shots after practice.

sidenote: EK was out of his cast and watching from the bench.

And Jason Spezza was in the locker-room taping sticks.

EDIT: And Pascal Leclaire just got hit by a bus he was waiting for in Mascouche.

EK will be back for the playoffs, miraculous recovery trope will be in full effect.
Hopefully with a full crew we can make some sort of run for Alfie.

Unless he has a set back, guys usually take a week in practise before they play. Wouldn't shock me if he is in by the Leafs game.

I ain't joking, Karlsson will be back for playoffs. The kid's still full of natural HGH and stem cells, he's a walking cocoon of rehabilitation.

On the Team they said he was wearing some kink of electric muscle stimulator. "We Can Rebuild Him"
