Nice Article on Russel

Actually, It's both Ryan, and his brother Kris, who plays for Medicine Hat. Good read.

Like Prucha and Dawes there is a size issue again. It can be a lot to overcome but Ryan seems so far to be giving it a good effort. Hopefully he'll make the Canada WJC team. That and a good training camp will be good indicator's as to whether he climbs up our prospect rankings.

I know Prucha, Dawes and Russel are different type of players. But look at Ryan Hollweg, he is pretty small and plays a more physical game than those 3 and is our best hitter at the forward position, I dont know if that is a good thing or a bad thing since he is small. If Dawes and Russel keep their offense going, they should make the NHL I would think.

Its going to be quite the telling story on Cally next season(and the season after), he is undersized yes but the guy has so much heart that I think he will overcome it. I can really see him playing on the 3rd or 4th line in the future. He battles every shift (like Orts) but he also has a lot of skill, will that skill translate to the pro level, nobody really knows yet. If it does we are looking at a player not afraid to hit or take a hit, and a hard working player who can chip in 15-20 goals on the 3rd line while still playing very good defense.
