Agreed.

Get Tortorella away from talent.

When Gaborik first started out year he was given more free reign, now hes totally changed Gaborik as a player.

As a Ranger/Gaborik fan, at this point id rather enjoy watching Gaborik light it up on another team the way he used to. Whatever the deal is, hopefully its with an elite center in a more offensive system. Gaborik is not "done" by any means, its the ****ing coaching.

You my friend just described Ottawa.

Ottawa would make a perfect home for Gaborik.

Spezza is an elite play making centre.
Karlsson can spring him better than any other D in the league.
Paulrus is the polar opposite of Torts.

That deal would have to wait for next year's deadline.

RoR is a great player, unfortunately his contract isn't.
Stepan is the future 1C, not available for lateral trades.

I agree, but the lateral move at Center is so you can free up space at Wing. NYR gets a young winger in McGinn at a very low hit

With Statsny's uncertainty to give up O'Reilly would mean a Center is coming back and I don't think Richards would be the one to come back obviously lol

I'd be happy for Sgarbossa but I feel like nothing else matches. Stepan is the future of New York. We get rid of him, we get rid of everything.

The difference between RoR and Stepan is nowhere near the difference between Zanon, McGinn, Sgarbossa combined and Gaborik.

A sniper and a finisher are pretty much the same thing. It has nothing to do with generating chances by yourself.

Would the Rangers be willing to trade him in-division?

No one in the division is stupid enough to offer the Rangers what it would take to deal Gabby in the division. Now, if Milbury were still GM of the Islanders......................................... ...................................

The Kings have players that would interest the Rangers. Vancouver.....not so much.

We have a 1st round pick, which LA doesn't. And I think a 1st round pick might be a priority for the Rangers to replace their own, if they were to trade Gaborik.

So sick of hearing this.

The coaching was the same last year and he had one of the best years of his career. He's not playing well this year and a lot of it is on him.

I'd be shocked if Van got Gaborik. It would have to be quantity from Van, and that just won't fly with NYR.
