Sounds like what would have been said for most teams meeting LA last year and look how that worked out.

Mtl would get their ass handed to them in 5 games max. The Kings are the deepest team in the NHL outside of BOS and CHI. Too small, too soft.

I think LA has better roster when healthy but this year it would be MTL imo.. they are on a roll, nice mix of kids and vets, Quick isn't as good as last year and Habs are so hungry right now. And bc of the atmosphere in Bell Centre wouldn't allow them to lose.

Kings in 6 as long as they don't underestimate Montreal. That shouldn't be a problem I would think, but these guys have pretty big egos and you never know.

You have to remember that last year's Kings were fortunate enough to stay healthy. If they go into the finals and Muzzin, Ellerby, and Drewiskey are playing on their defence, I'm not liking their chances.

we sure would. i mean, we can only handle 7 games against the wee little Bruins. how could we survive the big bad Kings?

It's starting to get tiring seeing everyone say the Habs aren't going to be successful in the playoffs because they're too small. What gets forgotten in the magic of Halak's success in the 2010 conference final run is that Cammalleri and Gionta were both absolutely on fire. You know, the guys that make Montreal "too small".

As for the poll, I'd say LA would win. But saying "LA is going to ragdoll them" or "MTL would get steamrolled in 5" is a stretch.

And that year we were significantly softer than we are now. We actually have scorers over 6 feet now.

I'd still go with the Kings, but the Habs aren't THAT Smurfy anymore.

Well if the Habs make to the finals, it'd mean that their current play is sustainable and they are for real. Even then, I doubt they can grind it out against LAK.

Although the Canucks defeated the Kings on Saturday in a coaching chess match, IF the Kings who I think will be one of 2 teams I think will make it to the finals, I think the Kings will sweep the Habs in 4. Kings are just too tactical, and I love the way they play the game. It's all out pressure, and even at times, they will sneak an extra player to double team the puck carrier. Lets not talk about the habs, Id on't even think the Penguins can beat the kings in a best of 7. Kings for sure.
