Especially because if Nash does it again, he is still not a repeat offender. 1 game would have at least triggered more discipline next time if it happened

On a non-Nash related note, Booth hasn't really been the same since the Richards hit. I remember he had a lot of potential, and when he does manage to play, he isn't playing to that level anymore.

And Richards hasn't been the same since his concussion.

Bobby Ryan just got into a fight with Brendan Smith of Detriot. Nothing exciting though.

Datsyuk gets his 500th assist tonight. I'm sure there will be 6 threads about it on the main boards.

If Colorado beats Dallas tomorrow we claim third last in the league!! It's hard to suck worst then Florida and the Flames though.

Other then that, Jeff Reese is an idiot for liking Leighton over Bobrovsky.

if the Flyers lose to the Pens on Sunday and the Panthers beat the Isles the Panthers are one point back of the Flyers. I am not counting on Florida beating NJ on Saturday.

Yea, it's weird watching the standings in the reverse order. I guess that's what it's like being a Leafs fan?

Him winning veizna is going to be a pretty low point for the Flyers. Tainted though, as Jackets are a defensive power house and we play wide open.

It's that stifling, defense-first system to which all teams but the Flyers are dedicated. It makes mediocre goaltenders the league wide look better.

Umm, as someone who watches the Jackets, they are far from a defensive powerhouse. Actually they give up the 9th most shots per game, while we give up the 7th fewest. Ya maybe they have a more defensive minded system (not alot but more focused) but that isnt the difference between both goalies. Since Bob has started doing this, he makes 4-5 of the GAME SAVING saves every game.

You know its sad when you start to look at daily games, hoping to see your team slide alittle (like I do :/). I hate rooting for tanking, really do, but the 5% chance of making playoffs has got me to do it

It's all about quality of shots. Every one of ours conceded can go in realistically.

Oh I agree, but you'd be surprised by the amount of breakdowns the Jackets have also. I really like Tyutin and Nikitin but they really dont have a defensive system. I can't say from the 15 or so games I have seen, that they have less goal scoring chances then we do.

wait. I thought most breakdowns end up in the back of the net with every single goaltender? huh. imagine that.
Once again. Thank you Jeff Reese for liking MFL over Bobrovsky

Let's not forget the salary cap factor. Bob cost more than MFL (I think that's the acronym you were shooting for). Plus, there were some reasons to question if Bob would be able to grow. I'm not defending the decision by any means, but it's not entirely black and white.
