Stu should've been gone last year when the best players WERE playing their best.

This is long overdue.

The play of the "best" players is without a doubt a problem, but it has little to do with Stu Bickel. He's not an NHL caliber player.

Waiving the least expensive and least important player you might add. Someone has to stop Gorton! He's gone mad!

Maybe he should try waiving Boyle, the biggest waste of money on the roster. That would be impressive.

He's only doing major things in Sather's absence. Crossing my fingers that he doesn't replace the Coke vendor with a Pepsi one.

I agree, he is the least skilled player. However the Rangers won 4 out the last 5 games he's played and are 3-4 without him in the lineup. I'm not saying he is the missing link. I'm just saying the least skilled person isn't the problem.

Oh, screw you, Bickel. You're a terrible player and it's by Torts' good graces that you've been on the Rangers for as long as you have.

No one is going to claim him, unless they want a hot guy on the team.

LMAO at Bickel's comment. I didn't even see that.

What a joke.

Torts was doing him a favor by letting him think he was an NHL player. How could you build your confidence getting embarrassed on the ice?

Is Asham due back soon? Are they just clearing roster spots for Fasth and perhaps Asham's return to the line-up?

Newburry was recalled.

EDIT: That didn't make sense.

I doubt Fasth would be ready to go tomorrow anyway, with the jet-lag and all.

Brooks speculated that it would be mid-week

I can't wait to see what Fasth can do. I'm telling you I think he's going to be a good player for us.

Fasth should bring offense to the third line, even if he doesn't score.

Let him get acclimated to the league and the smaller ice, and then next year put expectations on him. All I want to see is his tenacity this go around.

it would be like Christmas all over again. If not he is in CT the rest of the yr I hope

IF they are stuck with him next yr this would ensure Haley is on the team atleast as a spare or they have some wasted cap space if both are down

To me, I hope that Bickel is bought out---standard buyout style. He is a waste of a contract slot. (Bickel can then be re-signed to an AHL deal.)
