So who's making these moves? Is it all up to Gorton or is Sather on a phone telling him what to do?

I would believe Sather is behind it. That'd be kind of ****ed up if Gorton just took over and did whatever the **** he wanted because he's the interim GM. This is Sather's team.

I would think if there is a trade coming or something else that this was being planned. This most likely isn't happening out of nowhere.

Hey Glen, by the way, while you were in surgery for prostate cancer I waived two guys. Cool?

I can just see Gorton (who looks like a very friendly/agreeable person) growing a goatee, stroking it, laughing maniacally.

Or Sather via skype from the hospital like a modern version of the manager from Major League.

Would they count? I thought it was cap hits higher than 925,000 that count against the cap.

I think I missed out on a new waiver rule from the new CBA. But I'm noticing that teams are no longer liable for half the cap hit of players that they waived and got claimed by some other team.

pretty sure that is just the amount of money you can place in the AHL total. So guys on one way NHL deals

so if they put down both Haley and Bickel they would be over the allowed total and the difference counts on the NHL cap

if that made sense

The Rangers are by far the softest team i have ever seen since i started watching them in the early 1970's.. Torts is a sham and a phony and now good luck with Krieder /miller and others playing without a policemen in a conferance with Carkner/Boulton/Thornton/Lucic/Prust/Orr/Fraser/ and tons more. a F'ing disgrace
I would think Boogard dying, Dubs being garbage, John too tall and Stu too awful being terrible hockey players, Rupp being bad, prust wanting too much money and Asham being hurt took our toughness away
