Its possible. I really like the balance of the team right now also.
Pretty sure I was driving the Tank car but if they play the way they did in Toronto, I now want to watch as many games as possible. I mean, how long have we waited for a game like that?? Continue playing like that and I'll want more more more, not less.

I think Porter gets his first tonight. Just a feeling, but that line has been great lately.

I badly want to believe, too, but I see this team falling into no man's land again at No. 9 or 10. No playoffs and a mediocre draft pick. Yippee

The team doesn't seem to be playing all that well (even despite the recent points), but Rolston seems to be doing a decent enough job of plugging the holes in this boat with duct tape just enough so it doesn't sink. I'm not convinced he's the coach for this team after this season, but I do give him credit for keeping this contraption above water.

This is exactly what popped into my head immediately. You give the guy PP time, and inflate his stats to trade him, not scratch him, then say, "want my trash?".

Bye Darcy!!!

Also, wth is with Pomminpuss and his me, me, me rant???? If he could see the truth it's that the PP sucks cuz of him. He doesn't belong on the point, and with Hodgie and Vanman, he's expendable as a forward there, too. If he wants 2nd unit minutes along the boards with Staffy, he can have them, but I don't want him anywhere near unit #1.

So... Do we only have one "A" tonight, or do they give it to someone else?

He knows that he doesn't belong on the point, thats what hes saying. He could have said it a little better, but he's right. It should be Myers and Ehrhoff on the point, or at least Ehrhoff and Sekera.

So a guy who may have skipped practice in a huff the day before a game gets a spot in the lineup? So quintessentially Sabres.

I hope they're close to trading him and want to showcase him.

Gerbe was not at practice. When asked why Rolston said he skipped practice, but would make the trip. When asked follow up questions, Rolston did not elaborate.

And that's why I said "may." Why wouldn't Rolston tell the media that yesterday?

Stafford is a garbage hockey player. Has his heart ever been fully into being an NHL player? Nope. He could have been really good but he was too worried about his band.

A Sabres team without Roy and Stafford is a dream come true

And we are worse without him. We had a good record with Roy-Hodgson-Ennis down the middle, albeit over a short period.

Did we make the playoffs? Did we win a playoff series with Roy as the #1C?

Least favorite player of the last 10 years.... Lazy twerp.

And we'd miss the playoffs this year with him, again, then he would have left in FA.

I would rather watch Ott give consistent effort than the Derek Roy show. For another minute.

Screw that guy.

It won't have any effect on his trade value. He's been in the NHL a while. The book is out on him, and any half-decent GM is going to know exactly what they're buying: a big winger who can give you 20-30 goals and 50 points, but is guaranteed to do it in bunches.

If Regier is close on finishing a deal, it makes sense that they wouldn't want the guy they're shipping out getting hurt.

It could also just be RR scratching him because he sucks though.

We all care what you think about the players, and moves should be made accordingly. Remind me again how many playoff games Steve Ott has led his team to in recent years.

I'd like to have both an Ott and a Roy on my team.

The issue was needing to rely on Roy over the years as much as we did. After last year's deadline we got a small taste of how Roy could be more effective and the team better overall with a redefined role for Roy and better options offensively than Connolly/Goose as the other two centers. Roy's role was redefined into a two way top 6 defensive center with Leino/Pommer on the wings. He was no longer relied on as the primary creator of offense with the Hodgson and Ennis lines being able to provide a much needed boost offensively.

Now we've gone back to having a piece missing at center with Roy gone. That would be a two way top 6 center.

The entire premise of your statement hinged upon the fact that he just skipped it. If he did then nothing you said even makes sense.
