Thats a great team we got there...

Seriously, the biggest thing that drives me absolutely bananas about McLellan is his stubborn insistence on sticking with obviously failing strategy.

GRIND IT OUT HOCKEY ISN'T WORKING TODD. IT'S OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE BUT YOU.

The Sharks go to the net but they don't stay there. They peel off or fly by. Get to the net and stop.

Maybe this game will results in Todd being fired.

Can't wait for Robinson to take over and play a 1-1-3 trap like Tampa.

Pathetic....
Letter to the Gm
Mr Wilson please don't wait on rebuilding this team. Your guys right now have more value than they ever will if you were to wait to the offseason to make a move. I am ok if you don't make it all the way this year as long as I can see a change in the right direction. The coach as well as he did with us has lost the room.Just changing the lines is not the answer. Don't worry about having a few bad years the fans will still come out...make it happen soon otherwise next year will be like this year and so on

An unhappy fan

The Senators are missing their #1 Center, Norris winning D-man, and #1 goalie and are still winning and scoring goals. The Sharks just ****ing suck with pretty much their roster intact. Minus Ryan Clown of course.

Maybe we should start injuring guys for real and not these little bumps they all complain about but still play with.

Were you just talking about this game? If so, sorry for my lack of reading comprehension. I thought you were talking about in general.

It's funny I think it was after the Anaheim game is said grind it out is what they play. His line was we are not gonna win if we get in a track meet..Umm Todd you scored three goals that game I believe, the most you scored in awhile..are you sure you wanna grind it out?????????

I think pavelski has looked awful lately. He isn't doing muh to create any kind of offence from what I'm seeing when I watch. Slow a all hell, as always; and Thornton can't handle or make a simple pass for the life of him right now. I get the feeling the team is almost wanting some trades even though they don't want to be the ones traded. I don't feel like this team is a tight-knit team like they don't look like they enjoy playing with each other much anymore and that isn't a good thing if that could be the case.

I watched the GDT when I got home from errands this morning just to find out that I missed the whole game. Not much else to say I suppose except that I find it interesting that Wingles and Taco fought today.

Yeah, I have no clue why people here think he'd be a better coach than Todd.

But I'm seriously so confused. When did Todd change from "get a million shots on goal" to "prevent goals at all cost"? One worked, one clearly isn't.

In-game it's definitely getting old. And they're clearly bored when the Sharks fall behind (like every 3rd period) with no hope of catching up.

But, I was just listening to the to the March 20 podcast of Drew and Ratto on KNBR / Tolbert's show (iTunes or KNBR website).

Ratto and Drew were being civil to each other and Drew agreed that TMac and the coaches tried to shift this team's core playing style away from speed to grind, but the core (Jumbo & Patty) rejected the shift because they still think they can out-skate opponents.

It was the most honest I've heard Drew talking about the Sharks in a while. He was semi-agreeing with Ratto that the coaches aren't the problem. The (two) players who can't buy into a new style are the problem.
