A break could definitely do him good.
Also it seems to me the oilers have been avoiding making a roster move all year they have just been moving players off and on IR since we have to many players and don't want to deal with it

I think he needs to go for flu surgery. That's what sucks about the oilers lately: lots of flu cases. Hemsky, Horcoff, Souray, even hall last year had season ending flu injury.

I just hope they do the right thing here. I mean if its just a shoulder injury, give him some ColdFX and some chicken noodle soup and he'll be healthy in no time!
great post, if i could gift you ****** gold on this site i would

i'm guessing what they are going to do is continue down the "hide players on IR" route until the trade deadline, and then make whatever roster decisions they need to at that point... which really isn't a bad plan actually (and i don't say nice things about our management group very often)

Lol well I'm just imagining how sick he must be to go on IR....and that sick is pretty terrible IMO. But I'll try to appreciate your humour.

More often than not there's some degree of spleen enlargement - and the recommendation at that point is no physical activity.

Not that someone would have the energy to play pro-level hockey with Mono...

You would think that Katz would have a stash of extra strength Deer Urine/Antler spray to make sure all the players don't get any diseases.

I can live with Yak getting relegated to the Belanger triangle as long as he gets RNH's spot on the first unit power play. Hemsky was useless in that role against the Sharks. Need a left handed shot there.

I don't care how, just win! Hopefully Khabby feels motivated and feel he needs to prove something and we can get some competition to push each other. 3 points back of SJS with a game in hand (tonight), so we are far from out of it!

Best GDT ever.

Putting his full name "Mike Brown" under his picture made me laugh out loud.

edit: god I hate Ralph Krueger

Like how Dubnyk fans make excuses for his awful weak goals all the time?

Opposition fans and the CBC are always forgetting the true meaning behind that moniker.

It's because of the tornado, not our sports teams

Good idea to break up 91-89-64. Don't want them creating offense.

****ing Krueger.

This is off topic but i understand the name has to do with edmonton's response to a tornado (which i was not alive for btw) but i thought it was also fitting both the oil and esk were winning around that time

Krueger is dumbest coach this team has had in a long time. The Gagner line produces and he decides to break it up

get this clown off this team

It was definitely fitting at the time but that wasn't the mindset behind the idea.

If Nik Khabibulin gets tagged with a loss tonight then his career W/L record officially drops below .500.

Quote:
Jack Michaels ‏@EdmontonJack 1m
Entering tonight, N. Khabibulin has 330 career wins and 330 career losses. Gagner 5-2-7 last 5 GP. Belanger back, team-leading 54 FO%.
Signing with the Oilers completely ruined his W/L record. Man.
