He throws questionable hits and turns down fights. In one memorable case he was forced by Carkner and it ended with him cut open.

Ok gotcha, kind of like how I feel about Neil. But that's for another day.

What does Neil have to do with a thread about Adams vs. Martin?

Although since you were silly enough to make the abysmal comparison, it's tempting to destroy your argument by reminding you that Neil has fought more heavyweights than Adams has career NHL fights, but that's best saved for another day too I suppose.

I feel the same way about Neil as you feel about Adams. I must of hit a soft spot, sorry Expert.

I hate the Penguins as much as the next guy but Adams is pretty low on the hate scale for the team.

I can't imagine anyone could hate Adams. He is pretty much harmless in any aspect of the game. He may have a few questionable hits under his belt, but what 4th line grinder doesn't mistime a hit.

He is really an awful fighter. Maybe his goal is to pump up the Penguins since they know he is an awful fighter and he is going to get bloodied anytime he drops the gloves, but he does it anyway.

???

The fights Adams turns down tend to be of the "it's 2-0 let's get the boys going variety." And Adams should turn down those down. Anyone tougher than, like, Frans Nielsen is too much for him.

Cheering on Carkner for finally getting him to go would be like cheering on Chara for getting Gionta to go. Total mismatch.

He hurt Alfredsson with a clean hit and apparently some people's tears haven't dried yet.

Martin is a goon, Adams isn't. Not exactly a surprising result, and not really a fight worth posting.

Neil can actually fight though plus he's bigger than Adams. For a 4th liner Adams has a remarkably clean record.
