Games like these are the ones Miller himself wins. If the offense just keeps it simple and make passes with confidence, Sabres are competitive.

Ya, he seems to be able to patch the holes. If they can learn to hold a lead, I'll start to Billieve.

i've gotta say that i'm getting progressively more and more pissed every game the sabres win.

not only are we not going to get a top 5 pick, but we're also probably going to keep vanek, miller and poms and make no significant moves.

more sentiments that we are good enough to compete are to follow.

every time their backs are against the wall they wake up. no. please just die. for the good of the franchise and the fanbase. stop winning.

He did not get on the score sheet but Cody Hodgson is becoming an offensive force right in front of our eyes.

G: Return of Vanek
B: Subban rushing the pick and the crowd roaring like he's the second coming of Bobby Orr
U: Crowd calling Miller's name in a 0-0 game.

Honestly I don't think that game was as bad as some think. I don't think we were dominated. Maybe the shot totals were off but I would bet the quality scoring chances were a lot closer. I think at times are breakouts are much improved, as is our forecheck.

He actually got an assist.

And in other news, Cody Hodgson is now 11th in center scoring and Tyler Ennis is 19th

Incredible we have 2 centers in the top 20 for scoring and they are both 23.

Detroit hasn't even had a top 10 pick since like 1990.

Might have to dredge up that top 20 centers thread on the main boards, seeing the NHL just posted their top 8, and everyone with a center threw a hat in that ring.

These late-season runs, while fun to watch in the moment, are getting old. Show up from Day ****ing 1 for once.

Stop saying that.

Anything CAN happen, but usually DOESN'T.

If THIS team won the Cup this year, the NHL should be disbanded,

Holy ****, its not like this team has no future if we don't get a top-5 pick this year. This team has talent, and a lot in the pipeline as well, but they haven't been able to put it all together.

But if we're able to compete for a playoff spot, it means we're that much closer to being able to compete for a cup.

I hate this tank talk, rooting for your team to lose is idiotic in my opinion, unless your team is completely devoid of talent, which ours is not.

At least it was a regulation win. Only our third since February 16.

i love this team. i do. but how much more has to happen before we're all in agreement that this team is just not good enough? i want to surround our talent in the pipeline with...more talent. not inconsistent players who don't show up every night. and the more they win, the more it looks like the core that can't get it done will be staying.

i want a cup. i've said it before. the first step is acceptance that they suck. the second step is action. i'm ready for step two when it seems like many haven't bought into step one.

Whats wrong with the youngsters just gaining playoff experience? .. Why does it have to be all or bust!?
