Lol. If we dumped Moen I might feel better about picking up a 56% face off winner.

I still think the refs screwed us and killed our momentum tonight. Two horrible missed calls in the first, and then calling the non-delay of game penalty that pretty much handed the Sabres a goal. Buffalo shouldn't have been in this game. Frustrating loss, hopefully we bounce back. Hate the Sabres and their lucky wins.
Desharnais was at 57%.

Sure, replace Desharnais and his 18 points with Halpern's 1. That will work.

None of the replays on CBC had a good angle... So not sure... No idea about RDS.

Clearly hit the glass. RDS showed it. Bad call by the refs cost us the game.

We saw a good one on RDS and it was a **** call. That ref is trying to prove he has no allegiance to the habs, or he is still mad at being called out by Mario Tremblay a few years ago.

I didn't say to replace Desharnais with Halpern... what are you even going on about. I just hope that Halpern can help our face-off situation. Also DD was not 57%, the NHL.com numbers are usually wrong.

Why mention DD's faceoffs and then state that Halpern will help.

Halpern will not be on that line. And Halpern has clearly shown that his faceoff wins do not lead to points this season.

Both Subban and Plaeckanec seemed pretty sure that it touched the glass.
RDS seemed to have a replay that showed that it did deflect off the glass but they never got around to showing it. At least not in the second period.

The ref never even consulted the other officials on the ice. The ego that these guys have WHILE doing such a p*ss pour job is unbelievable.

And can someone please explain me to me the Blunden penalty? So does a player have to actually take possession of the puck for a hit on him not to be considered interference? Cause if that's the case, refs blow a ton of interference calls every single night.

What another BS game by Buffalo. If it had been the other way around (i.e., Montreal had been outshot 71 - 27 not including blocked shots but excluding missed shots) all of us would be crying to high heaven about how we should blow the team up.
Well the Sabres just got dominated twice in the same week in similar fashion and were significantly "helped out" by at least 2 and probably 3 blown calls by the refs.

I think... we can all step off the ledge folks.

I made a point that our team was bad at face-offs, and then said "especially Desharnais". Halpern and Desharnais weren't mentioned in relation to one-another; only you made that connection.

Anyway, Halpern will help dramatically with face-offs, specifically starts in our own zone. He will be our best face-off man and is also well-known for his solid defensive play, which will help us on the break-out. Not to mention he will help on the penalty kill; an aspect of our game where I feel we are severely lacking.

Halpern is definitely a useful asset to any organization, and I feel you don't realize that. You keep bringing up his point total, and that is not even what his role consists of.

Frustrating game as hell but let's look at the facts instead of freaking out...

-1st goal was a result of a BS penalty.
-2nd goal was a direct result of Gallagher breaking his stick on a normal dumping play

-Boston lost so we still lead the division

Some here believe Price was standing on his head too, so I guess that makes it even.

Yes, the refs blew at least two calls. But the refs didn't stop us from scoring goals, Miller did. I'm not happy about the officiating, but we hear this moaning every night from one fan base after another. We got beat by a hot goalie. Move on...

Galchenyuk was on fire tonight. He should definitely center that line, as I really don't think Eller has the same level of vision and touch to dish when he has possession.

Price had to make 4-5 really nice saves. Habs prolly "deserved" the win based on sog and time spent in sabres zone, but they got a good # of legit chances too. Just how it goes sometimes in 60 mins of hockey.

That was SO disappointing, especially when they had a golden opportunity to pick up 2 points on the Bruins. I don't have the heart to blame anyone.

Eller has ONE bad game and he's suddenly not good enough to be our 3rd line center?

There's a reason why chuckie is playing wing right now. he's not ready yet. he will be in a couple of years.

Exactly.

No Excuses!

Like someone said here, we play like this all the time, we win 4/5.
