Maybe. But that puts him as the 4th overall salary behind Crosby, Malkin and Ovechkin.

Montador on waivers.

Wouldn't mind Monsty back for a while.

EDIT: Contract runs through 14-15 though....

So yeah, no.

You sure? We could use a new backup goalie

Ben Eager was just waived too. I believe Tallon was GM in Chicago when Eager was there also (I believe he acquired him but could be wrong). Just to fill the roster spot, I would take a chance on him to just be a 4th line plugger instead of calling up another player. Only downside I see is he's signed next yr too at $1.1M.

You might be on to something here, but IMO Eager is too much of a loose cannon for any coach to handle. Also based on the trade board thread, he doesn't fight anymore at all.

Won't be mad if DT picks him up, but won't be happy either.

No GM is going to bother, Leafs will buy him out in the offseason anyway.

I could see Ottawa being desperate enough. Aren't they down to 5 D after last night?

4.5 is too much for a bottom pairing d-man. I get it that Sens have cap room and ****, but it's not just worth it when you know that if you really want him, you can have him on July 1st for around a million.

Even the Islanders GM isn't that stupid, thou he sure loves those waiver pickups.

David Booth out for the regular season. Poor guy, just can't stay healthy. You certainly have to give props to Tallon for getting rid of bad contracts. There's a couple there in Vancouver.

I hope Columbus wins the Cup. What a story they're becoming. Bobrovsky has been amazing.
