Glad to hear Vail got some ice time tonight.

For those who don't know much about him...

Two-way forward, more defensive than offensive. Will put up points, as he had about a point-per-game with Windsor this year (I forget exact totals). Very reliable on the PK and has a good shot for the PP. Good speed, uses it well. Not an overly physical guy, but will do the dirty work in the corners. Doesn't fight much at all, but if he's pissed, he can hold his own. Good guy off the ice, from the few times I've talked to him.

Still on the small side, yet, the deal in itself was a very good deal. Based on actual play, Desjardins didn't have a great season to this point, and based on the future.

The future is a little tricky for Tokarski due to the fact he would have to clear wavers to be sent down. Will the habs decide to give him the back up job? So it is really not clear how his short term situation shakes out.

Tokarski has been amazing for the Bulldogs so far. Last night, he was brilliant, especially in the first.

Vail looked solid in his debut. Didn't do anything amazing, but didn't do anything bad either. He won some big draws and made good breakout passes. Him and Quailer seemed to have some good chemistry right off the bat as they made some good passes and worked well together.

Really impressed with Belzile. Good offensive skill set and solid defensively as well. The lines got shuffled quite a bit in the second period and he looked like the best player on every line that he played on.

Tokarski has been brilliant, maybe a future in Montreal as backup after all. Solid trade that can turn out to be a big time steal

You gotta feel bad for Nokia, being sent down to play on the fourth line with two goons. Poor guy.

I don't think these lines are accurate from what I heard. Ouellet started the game on the 4th line with Stortini and Hagel, while Nokelainen was with Bournival and Tenute on the top line.

Maybe a dumb question, but can someone tell me where Avstin is? Do we still even have him? And will he ever amount to anything??

He was assigned to Wheeling, but hasn't played yet it seems.

Isn't that Lefebvre's idea of a first line?

Well if we believe what has been said about Leblanc, I guess they'd want to play Nokes on the fourth line cause that's where he would play in Montreal...

If the Habs want to surround Nokes with good fourth line talent not just goons, they could be hard pressed to find better UFA's than Spokane Chiefs RW Blake Gal and LW Todd Fiddler. Both are capable players in all three zones, meaning they want to control the play and have the abilities(size, talent and desire).Players the Bulldogs are seriously bereft of in their lineup, they are leading the Chiefs into the next round of the WHL playoffs. After a little reflecting on these wingers they should have a player like Rylan Schwartz from Colorado College centering them and he's a UFA also. They could be a great fourth line given a year in Hamilton to learn the Habs system and build some chemistry between them. With only 17 players still playing in Hamilton the team is severely undermanned, unless the Habs expect Kristo and many other prospects to fill the voids.

I was watching the game and those were the lines. They changed the next night though as Noke was on the 2nd line but I only saw a little of the game since it was on the same time as the Habs.

I also saw they had Vail at center on Saturday, but not sure if that was one face-off or all game.

It's my hope the Habs are signing Pribyl Center,Kristo RW and Olivier Archambault LW as replacements for all the players that have been demoted to the ECHL.The Bulldogs definitely are in dire need of an influx of talent quickly,or the team will finish like they did last season.

Backing up Price is like being Lawrence Olivier's understudy. You're ****ed.
