Not long ago it was expected a rookie or 2nd year QB to fail. So they would never see the field for 3 years. If a coach rushes a kid but doesn't play to their strengths, expect them to fail.

It doesn't matter if the defense sucks letting teams tee off, or the OL sucks. or they have a lame duck corp of wideouts, the QB is always the lightning rod. I think often unjustly.

Coaches not long ago were pretty much all old stiffs that NEVER catered to their prize rookie QB's. They are finally taking an ego pill and letting them do some stuff from college.

Did Minnesota and JAX have a fine supporting cast and call plays catered to their QBs strengths? Never forget Rypien was a super bowl MVP. You would have called him a bust if he played as a rookie behind a junk line with no wideouts.

Not happy to see Lo Alexander leave, but not shocked. Cardinals? He's about to be overpaid.

Thats fine, he had his moment in the sun, and is getting comped for it. Good for him, honestly.

Tyler Polumbus resigned for 2 years.

So much for an upgrade at RT.

No money to upgrade. Gotta take a corner in the draft.

It's BS is what it is. Don't take banned ****. Simple as that. And I believe the 1st time you get caught you get a warning and put into the program. So this should be Jackson getting caught a 2nd time.

Regardless, guy follows up a break through season with a suspension. Dumb ****.

So if the skins were to trade for McClain from the Raiders would Oakland have to eat his cap hit? Just a possible look into an upgrade without spending.

Avoid McClain at all costs. The guy is a cancer and a huge doosh and slacker to boot.

Sucks about Jackson but the substance policy is such a joke. 99% of these players juice up or take amphetamines. Its just a roll of the dice on who gets caught and the league definitely has some grudge against the skins.

Love how the Seattle corner(s) got off on technicalities and one our O-line got busted for some minor paperwork technicality.

If the Redskins are forced to change their names I'd be so down for:

Sons of Washington

WaPost I still read, Mike Wise I never read.

The Skins won't change their name unless they lose their trademark rights.

you would think congress has more important things to do then worry about a NFL team name.

The only explanation I can come up with for Mike Wise is that he is intentionally trying to piss off his readership. That's the only reason I can come up with someone writing so many things that are so stupid.

Andrews: RG III is superhuman

"I've been real mum on talking too much about RG III. He wants his recovery to be fairly private, but I can tell you he's way ahead of schedule. His recovery has been unbelievable so far," Andrews told ESPN.

"RG III is one those superhumans. First patient I ever had like that was Bo Jackson. And recently I, of course, had Adrian Peterson, who is also superhuman. They have an unbelievable ability to recover, where as a normal human being may not be able to recover."

So true MW is totally trolling on this. Someone said earlier if somehow they lose the trademark then they would likely change the name.

Fred Davis being wined and dined by the Bills headshed. Would like to have him back, but won't lose sleep if he leaves.

I won't either. Would like to have him back, but if the Bills want to lock up a good TE coming off an achilles injury be my guest.

The Bills are an agent's dream; a team that consistently is willing to overpay for unproven or inconsistent talent based on brief flashes of production. Examples off the top of my head: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, WR Stevie Johnson, RG Derrick Dockery, DEs Mario Williams and Mark Anderson, OT Langston Walker, and I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting.
