Spoke w/ Brendan Morrow via text and he told me he still hasn't waived his no trade to go to Penguins. Still discussing it over with Family

Since you've joined us here in the Morrow watch .... where would you slide him into Dallas' Top 20?

There's no way he declines it right? He wants to win and Pittsburgh gives him the best chance IMO

If he rejects this the stars should send him to the ****ing ahl for the rest of the season. This trade is exactly what Joe should be doing for the organization.

Here's a couple scouting reports from two years ago.

Joe Morrow scouting report.

Quote:
"Puck moving, and puck rushing, defenceman likes to dictate the pace of play from the back end and carries the puck up ice himself without hesitation. Established himself on Portland's top defensive pair this year playing a very well rounded two-way game. Loves to join the rush and create odd-man rushes. Has a big-time shot from the point and is the triggerman on the power play. Makes quick decisions and crisp, accurate outlets. Overall game has improved a ton in the past year." - Red Line Report 2011 Draft Guide

"Morrow skates well, is competent around the puck and has an absolute laser from the point that he can get off deceptively quick. He plays tough and doesn’t back down from a physical challenge and uses his body well to separate opponents from the puck. He makes a good first pass and can also set things up from the point and distribute the puck appropriately." - International Scouting Services 2011 Draft Guide

A true captain wouldn't even consider rejecting this if it was for the good of the team.

Yeah to me, it doesnt make sense for him to decline it. He has to know he has a great chance to win a cup in Pittsburgh, and then he can decide after the season what he wants to do. Its only a few months away from his family, if they dont go there with him.

There really shouldn't even be a guess about rejecting it or not. The writing is on the wall Brenden, waive it and go have a fun couple of games in Pittsburgh.

This isn't a firesale, Morrow doesn't fit here anymore and is a UFA.

Speculation is that Morrow's net drive clears space for Malkin to do what he does well.

Hmm...good question. 2 or 3 is my reflex answer. Probably 3. But I don't love Oleksiak like some here.

This is hardly part of the fire sale.

Pittsburgh has won 11 in a row. Come on, Morrow. It's only 17 games left in the season.

@Jordan_Stewart

If the Pens trade Joe Morrow to the Stars for Brendan Morrow, it'll be as if they truly feel sorry for how bad the Goligoski trade was.

Would be shocked to see Jagr go anywhere.

Roy is as good as gone.

Robidas, who knows.

Morrow's wife would be absolutely behind a move there. She doesn't seem too fond of te fans here now.

If this happens I cant wait for Pens fans to invade the Stars board to offer their identical opinions about this trade and the Neal trade, Mike excepted of course.
