Apparently Eklund is saying there will be a "major" trade soon

Quote:
Talked to quite a few sources today who are talking about an off the record deal...best way to describe it..."A player once thought would NEVER be moved looks to be quietly in play...."

another called it a "trade that would be heard worldwide..."

- Chicago...playing alongside his BFF, Marian Hossa.
- LA...Playing with Kopitar and help out with their stuggling offense.

Hey, this IS fun!!

Perhaps that "major trade" he was talking about is the soon-to-be-finalized Brendan Morrow to Pittsburgh trade?

Seems like it

Hmm. Not sure if this actually benefits Pittsburgh all that much, to be honest.

Joe Morrow

Not sure if it'd be a good deal from a Wild POV. Not to mention, many Pens fans were saying he was untouchable.

Looks like Morrow can pick either Pens, or Bruins.
https://twitter.com/DarrenDreger/sta...31395417579521

Edit: Looks like he's waived the NTC for the Pens

Holy overpayment batman! I can't believe that! B. Morrow is a bum. Pens fans rioting. Must be making up for the James Neal fleecing.

This can't hurt the Wild's chances tomorrow night when they roll into Dallas.

Holy crap if that is truly what the Pens are giving up for B Morrow then what exactly would they have given up for Seto?

If true this had to be some kind of quid pro quo deal from the Neal trade, it makes no sense.

Morrow > Seto/Bouchard

Yes Morrow has dropped off considerably and it'll be probably his last year in the NHL but Morrow is a warrior and is the guy you want in your locker room. Pens want his veteran presence.

lol at some of the Pittsburgh fan reactions. Not making fun of them or anything, but some of this stuff is hilarious. This is all from the beginning, when it was still just a rumor or whatever.

Olesiak better be coming our way. If this is true.

I believe Joe Morrow would go to Dallas as part of the deal for Brendan Morrow.(Previous quote)
Highly, highly doubt that.

Looking at Dallas's roster, my guess is Morrow and Robidas for Morrow. I woundn't like it.

3rd liner for our top prospect doesn't seem right, hopefully that means Loui Eriksson is coming back if its true lol

Jagr and Brendan Morrow?

I'm happy if Morrow comes this way. I'm also not worried about the deal. It's not gonna be Morrow/Morrow straight up, so some need to chill a bit.

Bortuzzo Morrow and Kennedy and maybe a draft pick for Morrow and Erikson
The overrating of some potential 2nd pairing defender is absolutely hilarious. Silly Penguins fans.

Don't think it'll improve it either. Everything lies at the feet of Kari.

As a Pens fan as well, I'm pissed about the trade but if Morrow can help them win another cup (saying the Wild can't win one because the Wild are my #1 team), it's hard to be upset then.

But it's nice to beat the Flyers tonight. Coburn is going to get suspended for that hit on Dupuis tonight.

End of the Ducks-Red Wings game last night was incredible. Ducks were down by 1 in a game where they were handily outplaying everyone but Howard, pulled the goalie and just frenzied on the Wings' net. Weak penalty with a half minute remaining, Candy Corn Perry slams his stick into the wall, Getzlaf dropkicks his stick down the ice, Selanne very lip-readable for a few minutes, all three ejected.

It was beautiful.

Before this season I really liked the Ducks - they were my second favourite after the Wild. As a Finn they were an exciting team to watch because of Selänne, Saku and Lydman.

This season... I really started to ****ing hate them. Don't really know why. Doesn't help that majority of my friends (like most of Finns) really like the Ducks.

Yesterday was a good day.

Pittsburgh picking up Douglas Murray in addition to Brenden Morrow last week. Aggressive. I like it. Hope the Wild don't just sit on their hands.

Unfortunately I don't see us doing much except maybe picking up a veteran #4 kinda guy. It's fun to be in the playoff mix, but we kinda know this isn't our year.
