I still think a Vancouver trade would be hilarious.

Calgary would literally be on fire. Imagine the blasphemy.

the only way the Flames even get a sniff at 8th is if the 5-6 teams ahead of them decide to **** up and the Flames somehow find ways to win...besides it's not the organization's choice of whether or not they want to trade him...it's Iginla's.

If he says he wants out, he's gone. Pretty sure he realizes there's no way in hell that the Flames are going to the playoffs

Why most think he will get 1st + solid prospect. The people that propose 1st + Marchand ++ aren't really Flames fans.

We'll see what Brendan Morrow gets, and if the return really is Joe Morrow+, then Iginla's value shoots up even if there is one less team (Pittsburgh) bidding for his services.

I really think it's going to come down to the Penguins and Bruins. Bruins I believe are younger than Penguins and have their core players signed for longer....I could be wrong though, so they have a good chance to be in the hunt for a few years. But then you have the possibility of playing with Crosby and Malkin, which would be electrifying. On the Bruins though Iginla could really be the voice of the forward group and really their leader. I don't see him having that opportunity with Pitt. They B's core is young and would greatly benefit with Iginla's experience. I think Iginla would relish that opportunity too and continue to like having a strong voice on a team. I know Rechhi really enjoyed his time in Boston because he liked being around the young guys and he felt young again and could really mentor the younger players - he helped out Marchand tremendously and I could see Iginla being a great mentor for Lucic. It will probably ultimately come down to what is offered. Both Pitt and the B's have great teams (as do the Kings and Blackhawks), so he can't loose out going to any of those teams. I know the Bruins have been interested in the past in Iginla and have talked to Calgary about him, so I think they have a good idea of what they might have to give up to get him, and I also know that Marc Savard in the past reached out to Iginla about the Bruins and they are good friends, so I think their might be a good relationship already there between Peter Chiarelli and Feaster, which may help the Bruins with negotiating something...

Chicago in the hunt for Jarome Iginla. If Pens get Morrow, CHI, BOS and LA will drive price up for Iginla. Good news for Flames.

Just saw the Penguins have a deal in place for Brendan Morrow...so does that mean they are not going to move on Iginla....maybe they have been told by Calgary they have an offer they can't refuse...hmmmm. I'm getting a little worked up/excited here as a Bruins fan.....

Because he didn't get moved before Morrow? So unless Iggy is the first player moved, Feaster has messed up? Where's the logic?

I assume he means that Morrow is the one Flames fans have been clamouring over. If Pitt is trading him to another organization, it means Feaster asked for too much on top of it.

If Brendan Morrow gets Joe Morrow from Pittsburgh I am going to laugh. Pittsburgh fans wouldn't do Iginla for Joe Morrow and Iginla is twice the player Brendan Morrow is.

Nothing new. I remember when Eric Tangradi was an untouchable.

If Calgary absorbs a majority of Iginla's contract, the Flames will get a HUGE return. Two top prospects and picks.

I'll be extremely pissed if it's Morrow for Morrow straight up. I would do J. Morrow in a deal for Iginla because, as you say, Iggy is twice the player B. Morrow is. I'll wait for confirmation though. Shero has a pretty good track record in these situations...

Well you are one of very few. All I ever heard was how 'untouchable' Morrow is.

Very reasonable. We'd probably need to throw something your way. I think we make out too well on that one.
