Maloney is on record that he believes Rundblad will be the next Zubov. Rundblad is developing very very nicely (very nice 6 game point streak currently going on). I caught the AHL game today (against the Flyers farm team I believe) and their announcers were gushing about how impressive Rundblad has been.

If Rundblad is traded, a young #2 center is coming back.

GMs never talk up their own prospects... EVER.

FWIW, Maloney and Holmgren are apparently meeting behind closed doors @ the Consol Energy Center right now, so something is in the works.

Could be something around Read and one of your defensive prospects, one of our established defenders and one of your defensive prospects, Briere and ????, etc.

I'm not interested in moving Rundblad, personally. How about Klesla and Moss to Philly for a little something?

How does Klesla help us tank? We have no interest in 31 year old assets unless they are studs. We want futures. You guys are the playoff team here, we're the ones who will be trading you our old players.

If Maloney and Homer are discussing a trade, I think Coburn could make sense for you guys, Read could make some sense, Couturier would make a ton of sense (being that he's from PHX), etc.

Maybe a Briere retread?

Flyers are out of the playoffs. Don't see them moving youth for veterans at this point.

Coyotes have no interest in D
Briere won't waive, it's in his best interests to force a buyout
Coyotes want ELC players like Schenn or Couturier back for Yandle.

If you want Couturier we want OEL

The two are not comparable in value. Not even remotely.

Phoenix loses big time. That trade can contribute to bankruptcy.

I just want to say this now:

Coyotes want a #1 centre and offensive help. They don't want any members of the Flyers defence.

That being said, OEL has also signed long term with Phoenix, he wont be moved. The likeliest players to be moved are Rundblad or Yandle (maybe Gormley) in terms of who Phili would want.

Who the offensive players coming back would be? I'm assuming they will aim for Couts or Schenn at best.

Couturier is closer to Gormley than OEL IMO.

OEL also signed a 6 year deal, you won't get him.

As a Flyers fan, please stop.

Yandle for Couturier + would be my guess for a "blockbuster" trade, but I don't see why PHX would do that on the cusp of a playoff run.

Rundblad + for Read makes sense.

Basically depends whether he values the extra money over a chance at the cup.

You'd have to offer 5+ A level assets to get Maloney to move OEL. It's just not feasible and it should never be brought up.

Check the standings. The Coyotes are not making the playoffs.

Highly unlikely that B. Schenn is dealt at this point.

Agreed, though that's more a comment on the gap between Couturier and OEL than anything else.

I don't think Gormley is particularly close to Couturier either.

There is a zero percent chance the Coyotes would even think for one second about the possibility of trading OEL. Drop it. Don't even bring him up.

Coyotes want ELC players like Schenn or Couturier back for Yandle.
And for a bottom-6 team like the Flyers, that doesn't add up. Yandle's good and useful, but not worth a young ELC who you hope develops into a cornerstone
