If Washington wins in regulation today, there isn't much more the Flyers could have asked for with 5 days off and 5 points back. They would step foot on the ice remaining 5 points back.
The terrible goaltending and defensive play didn't help either.

It actually was a welcome break from a viewer standpoint.
The break that turns the season around?
Doubtful

Why is poor Couts in the dog house.
Get the guys confidence up... don't stick him with Feds and Rinaldo (even though Zac is an excellent 4th liner).

Yea they started thier break 5 points back and can finisih that way. Plus you look at a lof of the lower eastern teams struggling and having serious injuries like the canes and thier goaltending and the Devils just lost kovy for 2-4 weeks. Going 10-6-2 means win two lost one, little under that actually. This team can def do that. I say time to kick ass and time to start now!

Golden oldies: During one rough stretch, Mike Keenan called certain vets were "passengers" and pissing him off but didn't want to name names. He then told a reporter "you have to be blind or stupid" not to figure it out: then he scratched Doug Crossman for not only lackluster play but missing a meeting.

Refs: Dave Jackson and Francois St. Laurent.

Harry Z (and not Knuble) appears to be the replacement for Briere.

From Tim P.:

Quote:
Danny Briere told me he crashed into the boards in SAT prax. "Not doing good," he said.

Knowing Holmer, he probably traded him to Phoenix.

Ugh.

If the pick is like 8+, I could deal. But top-5?
