I dunno, I just feel like we could've gotten a guy closer to the NHL level from Boston.

It's just that we got another mid-sized left handed puck moving D-man.

I really want to say that's indicative of someone else moving.
I can understand the big picture with all you listed, but I think you have to be happy with the return for Morrow alone. solid, solid deal.

Congrats guys. Morrow was my favorite Penguins prospect. I had high hopes for him too play a big part of the Penguins defensive future.

Treat him well

He's a top-5 prospect in an organization I think has a terrific prospect core.

As the Stars HF writer, I'm happy that it's a prospect I'm familiar with (no more Kukushkin types...) and that 5th round pick is probably your next starting goalie or something... As a Penguins fan, I'm pretty happy with the deal. There's probably gonna be a lot of people on each side of the aisle on this one from Pens nation I think. I'm content with it. We have J.Morrow replacements in our system as it is, we needed another Kunitz-type and while B.Morrow doesn't bring the same offensive skill maybe, he's a good fit for the team regardless...we really needed someone that could bring the intangibles...a good calming influence in the locker room that can also take charge if need be...

Not really. Neal was a 40G scorer last season, on pace for 40 again in a full season, Niskanen is solid aswell. It's BAD but i don't think Neal/Niskanen bad.

Let's see how Joe Morrow transitions to the NHL before making this claim.

This times ten billion.

Joe Morrow might just be Trevor Daley 2.0.

Yeah I got quite a bit of heat as well for saying somebody would overpay for him. Score boarding FTW.

Pending on how things go, I'd add to Goligoski and get an upgrade. That'd largely depend on how things go.

Is he ready to play right now?
