Why take random shots at RDS? You get pleasure out of this? Root for the Leafs and watch TSN. Should be perfect for you

The team is playing well and they are giving Bourque time to recover. I think it's wise to not take any chances. We need him 100% for the payoffs. Same for Diaz.

Its not a good sign that he missed two skates in a row. This could mean that he has to go back to step 1 and start the process over again.

Can someone can come up with another good reason why he could have missed two in a row?

Setback for Rene Bourque (concussion) That's why he's not skating anymore. Still impossible to predict when he'll be back. #canadiens #RDS

I am starting to get worried about the injuried players.

Prust was going to be out 10-14 days but he is still not back and it will be 17 days if he plays on tuesday at the best.

Bourque has been out since feb 23 and looks like he has had a setback. So he is now out over a month with no date for his return.

Daiz has been out since feb 25 and seems to be in the same boat as Bourque with no return in sight.

White is now hurt and will be out of the lineup atleast a week if he doesn't play tuesday.

Weber has also been hurt since march 7 with no return in sight. I know some posters on here hate Weber but he could be helping the Habs right now filling in as a forward.

I think the Habs know that atleast 2 of these guys aren't coming back u8ntil the playoffs and that is why they picked up Halpern.

No reason to worry about Prust or Weber. Prust has been skating for several days and has shot pucks a couple of times to test his shoulder, which is a sign he's really close. Tomorrow is the key day, if he practices with the team, that should mean he's likely back in PIT or BOS.

Weber is back skating with the team and looks healthy.

The only consolation is, that if the team discovers Bourque will be out for a prolonged period of time, they can acquire someone by the trade deadline.

I would not be surprised if both if both Bourque and Diaz are shut down for the year. When symptoms drag on this long it's never a good sign. The playoffs are right around the corner making it less likely they will be ready to go. Concussions are not something you can play through.

Sad, but true...both were playing very well...this may change what MB was planning to do at the deadline...

That's a little premature to state - there is still over a month left before PO. Being out for a month or is quite common with this type of problem. But MB might want to have a back-up plan in case one or both are not available for PO.

Very true. I was just thinking the concussion protocol for being symptom free makes missing the playoffs a real possibility

Even if Weber hasn't played well.. maybe he'll continue to be a playoff performer.

I think the plan may have been to give Prust all the rest he can get so the team can:

1)Ensure his health for the playoffs

2)Ensure he's 100% against the Pens/Bs. We don't need him coming back less than 100% and get further injured in a fight against lucic or something.

As for Bourque, even with the setback it seems likely he'll play sooner than Diaz. I am concerned for both, but if there was a serious concern about them we would see a trade from MB to shore up our scoring and/or Dcore. So maybe time will tell, MB certianly wouldn't rush a trade, but he could be figuring it out as we speak.

It is easy to say MB can make a trade to shore up the forwards or defense but there isn't a lot of teams looking to trade players right now. I bet there wouldn't be 5 teams right now that think they don't have a chance at the playoffs.

It's strange that Bourque was practicing, with contact, just 5 days ago. Wonder what happened.
