OT - Things to do in Los Angeles

Hey guys,

I'm currently doing an internship in Los Angeles and I will be here for three more weeks before I leave. I've been there and done that with some of the more famous spots and tourist venues so I am now looking for expert advice on some of the better-kept secrets and hidden attractions only you guys would know. Can you guys suggest to me fun locations to visit and great things to do?

By the way, I've been to these places already:
Santa Monica Beach
Venice Beach
Downtown
Beverly Hills
Hiking up Hollywood Mountains
The Getty Center
The Griffiths Observatory
Chinatown
Fashion District
And random places like Westwood Village, UCLA and Encino...

Thanks a bunch in advance!

If you want to stalk NHL players, you can always hang out at the beach volleyball courts on the south side of Manhattan Beach pier....

- LA Zoo.

- If you have a car drive along the coast from Marina Del Rey south past the planes Flying over at LAX (I dig watching the planes flying across the ocean and landing at LAX) to Palos Verdes Estates.

-Also where the beach ends at Palos Verdes/Redondo Beach Area there's a bike path that starts and goes north along the beach that's good to check out.

-If you have the time and resources you can take a train from Union Station to San Diego for the day/weekend.

- Catch a Game at Dodger Stadium or Angels Stadium in Anaheim (which ever is closer).

- Disneyland (but pick up the discounted tickets at the Grocery Store like Vons or Ralphs not at the box office)

Sunset strip - Between the music venues and the comedy clubs, you'll do well there.

Dodger Game

Long Beach Aquarium

San Diego - Tons of stuff there

and lastly

Las Vegas - 5 hour drive is well worth it.

Good spots! I say that since they are so close to me.

The Strand is good if you want to walk down by the beach and see lots of scantily clad beautiful women, or men if that's your preference, and grab some drinks at all of the nearby establishments.

Farmers market or do what most angelino's do and get out of dodge. Santa Barbera, San Diego, Big Bear, Vegas, Palm Springs, Colorado river(Laughlin, Havesu), Catelina Island or good time to go fishing. It all depends on what you like to do. There is always TJ

I actually grew up in that neck of the woods before moving to Seattle. Great memories there. Just blocks from the beach and school. It's changed alot since I moved but when I moved to San Diego I went out of my way to spend part of a day there.

My advice, go in a group of four or more if you go to TJ and take the Trolley to the border.

::edit::

If you (snub) want to swing on down to San Diego, PM me and I'll send you the places to go based on what you want to do (party, site seeing, etc)

No one has mentioned like anywhere in downtown Hollywood area. Melrose, Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd. Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles on Sunset and Gower is delicious. I was scared the first time I went but it was awesome.

Totally In-N-Out! Good call MXPX. If you've never been, it's a must. California and Nevada, and Arizona? are the only states to have them. Best burgers...
