Thank you.

I want no part of Pavel Datsyuk on my team.

The two centers that interest me on the list are Gomez and Drury.

Handzus/Gomez/Briere would be nice (one of them).

For those hoping to replace one of our centers.

I only listed the most notable...

Pavel Datsyuk
Scott Gomez
Peter Forsberg
Daniel Briere

Joe Sakic
Michael Nylander (option)
Chris Drury
Mats Sundin (option)

Mike York
Michal Handzus
Robert Lang
Josef Vasicek

Ian Laperriere (option)
Martin Straka
Joe Nieuwendyk
Jozef Stumpel

Bryan Smolinski
Habs GM + Carbo (+ me!) might want :

Briere and Drury
They would look/be great in a Habs jersey. They might not be huge/tall, but they play bigger (lots of heart)than most NHL players). They both have lots of skill, grit, heart, and are great skaters.

Nobody's going to replace Koivu unless he doesn't come back. He's signed for 3 more years with a NTC.

That's without mentioning the fact we're near the cap and will still be next year with our top-3 Dmen becoming UFAs.

07-08 lineup

Samsonov Datsyuk Kovalev
Higgins Briere Ryder
Perezhogin Plekanec kostitsyn
Johnson Chipchura Begin
And there all goes our team spirit, leadership and soul eh !

NO WAY i replace koivu by someone like datsyuk.. yes he will put impressive number in season but hes a playoff choker, id rather a good season guy + an amazing playoff performer than a playoff choker, however his stats are !

That said, merci pere noel for this list !! I would gladly take Drury here.. so does York and Handzus. Maybe if Downey gone and Ferland / Lapierre dont turns into player we wait for we could sign Lappy for cheap on our 4th line.

I think it would be a nice idea to replace koivu by datsyuk, Datsyuk is a model in terms of patience with the puck, he possesses higher overall qualities than Saku Koivu, in fact, i think Saku Koivu is really important for the habs, but i would prefer to see him leave for something better, like datsyuk.

With the gain of talent, you have the opportunity to select a real warrior as a captain, i dont say koivu isnt a warrior, but i think there are better person to be a captain than koivu. I hope you do not get me wrong

Sure it does have better person to be a captain in the league, but we have an amazing one right now who play hard everyshift and he is the last player i would trade away ( we wont receive a lot for him anyway)

Why are people talking about replacing Koivu? If you're going to replace anyone it's Ribs.

Guess you all forgot one UFA who would be a perfect fit for our team: He's tall has already shown offensive upside. He's not french canadian, but hey, nobody's perfect.
Gentlemen welcome RAAAAADEEEEK BONK !

Sundin or Forsberg are my picks. Yes, I know that neither will sign here. But they are still the best players on that list, IMO.

Not when you consider that Calder is also going to be UFA and was not going to stick around Chicago.
They probably have a better chance of re-signing Handzus than they did Calder.
