In all honestly I saw more out of Newbury last night that BB. Newbury is good on face offs also and if Boyle is moved I have no problem of him playing 4C over BB .

Updated title for accuracy. Any reports on him officially being signed yet?

Cally needs to play with bangers. You can't play him skill guys. He just doesn't have the ability.

I really want to see Cally with Miller again..

“@KatieStrangESPN: #NYR Can confirm that Mats Zuccarello has agreed to terms on contract with Rangers, though he is awaiting his release from the KHL”

“@TSNBobMcKenzie: All is that is holding up Mats Zuccarello's return to NYR is paperwork/releases from KHL team/federations. He has deal in place to return.”

they are going to shake up the bottom 6 , Fasth likely comes over and starts in CT/AHL.

Zuke will step right in on a one way deal.

Boyle is a goner soon. I would be fine with taking a gritty UFA that can PK and a late pick back. Clear that contract for next yr.

Pyatt may be a goner too with his play. He started well but has done nothing since. I heard he was streaky and well he is

Don't think we'll be seeing a line of Kreider - Miller - Zuccarello. That's a nightmare line for a guy like Tortorella.

If all goes well on paperwork/release front, Norwegian forward could be in Ranger lineup by the weekend. That's if all goes well.

Small sample sizes.

Good to have Zuccarello back, he should have been guaranteed a spot from the get-go. The team lacks any creativity in the bottom-6 and needed help on the PP. Why let him go. Great signing now get him on the ice.

Another great thing about MZA? He can play both wings equally well. Gives Torts flexibility.

I really hope Torts doesn't try him out on the 3rd line again. Put him with Gaborik and let him do his thing.

Really? I was under the impression from his time here that he was strictly a RW...

Fast(h) have to report to Tre Kronor (Swedish National team) by April 15.Its an agreement between Rangers and The Swedish Hockey Federations. Rangers want Fast to have a taste of AHL, and Tre Kronor want him to play World Cup.

I don't see how Zuc fits in a bottom six role at all.

That's just not his game, like Parenteau. Not many undersized players can play like that.

I think he played LW the 3 first games of the season. Yes he wasnt good, neither was the rest of the team.
He got that fine for pushing the Kings player into the boards, and he missed the shootout against SJ. Thats what i remember of disapointments from him in those games. He hardly played

Never got the sense that Torts liked MZA, will be interesting to see how things go this time around.

Will he use MZA in the shootout instead of Richards?

I liked what I saw of him during his first stint with the Rangers and will be glad to have him back.

Good to have him back. Can't wait for everyone to hate on him because he isn't the size of someone like Nash.

We all know size = goals. Look at Boyle

MZA had good chemistry with Boyle his first go around. He was able to use the space created by him and it allowed Boyle to not control the puck and distribute. I actually think he would do well with Nash. That allows Hagelin to play with Richards to help get him jump-started. They had good chemistry last year.

That's a little ridiculous, no? Hindsight is 20-20. Going into "camp" and season, who should he have been guaranteed a spot over? No one predicted Richards and Gabby's major failings and the black hole that is the bottom six's goal scoring.

Pyatt? Rupp? Halpern?

The team allowed a young, skilled player who had proven he could play in the NHL to run away to the KHL. Stupid.

Pretty "meh" about this. If he hasn't improved in the areas that Torts considers to be faults, I don't see him making much of an impact.
