I'd move JBo next deadline anyway, unless I was blown away by an offer. I think teams would pay more for him if the contact was expiring and we won't need the cap space.

How does Anton even still have an NHL contract?

He saw Feaster cheating on his ownership imposed diet.

to be clear there is a bonus cushion in the CBA where you can exceed the cap by a certain percentage (7%?) due to bonuses and if they are then achieved they count against the cap for the following season. So considering that something like 2 million of Cervenka's bonuses are for things like the Hart, Conn Smythe, Richard... etc, it's hard to consider Cervenka's cap hit to be 3.775 million.

Each of these guys should be willing to waive as neither has been playing consistently, and have often been healthy scratches.

Flames will take the highest pick offered for each of them...likely a pair of 5ths unless two teams are interested in one. Then we could get lucky and maybe see a 3rd for Sarich...but I doubt it.

It doesn't matter what Babchuk wants, since his NTC expires on April 3rd. Then he's free fodder to go anywhere.

Why come to a thread about Flames players and complain about Oilers management?

I thought Babchuk's NTC expired already... I thought that it was set to expire a week before the deadline.

At any rate, it is a moot point. Does anyone really believe Babchuk would stop a trade to ANY TEAM in the NHL? He has barely played this year, and needs as much playing time and exposure as possible in order to get a contract for next season. Extremely doubtful he would block a trade to any of the 29 teams. I doubt Sarich would as well.

Because if Cervenka wasn`t signed by Calgary, he would`ve been signed by another NHL team. When signing guys eligible for these types of contracts, you need to sign them for that amount. He hasn`t been what was expected, but that isn`t the point.

I dont get where this idea comes from. He has 10 points in his first 23 NHL games, its going to take some time to adjust...most people thought he would come in an be a 40-50 point 2nd line center and thats what he looks like.

Are these proposals for THE ANTON a joke?? He could easily fetch firsts and prospects probably more then Iginla, the only reason he is a healthy scratch is because it would be unfair for other teams and Mr.Harley wants the game to be fair

Let's hope not. I'd imagine Carolina is on his list no-go teams.

Complete and utter rubbish!

Hartley does not have any say in the Anton's affairs.

Anton is merely seeking a challenge. He is waiting until the Flames are 1 game away from being mathematically out of it, and then he will return scoring 12 goals per game all the way until he wins the Anton Cup (why it hasn't been renamed yet perplexes everyone).

Douglas Murray returned TWO second-rounders. If that's the market, I figure we can get at least a mid-round pick for each of these two.
