Adam Proteau went as far to say he'll have another HC gig before the start of next season.

All 3 duds walked into bad situations, but Boucher probably had the most to work with...at least he had some offensive weapons. His D and goalie situation has been disastrous.

Nice work by Yzerman to buy himself some time by sacrificing the HC.

That bloated roster is certainly not all his fault, but he really hasn't improved matters, especially with the dealings on his blueline and goal crease.

Brendan Morrow to the Pens, pending him waiving his NTC.

Heading to the Pens-Flyers game with my kids. Collecting another arena, hear the atmosphere at Consol is cool. However, I'm not sure how well my #93 Flyers sweater will be received.

3 duds walk into a bad situation. First one says, hey at least we're not in Columbus! Bartender says, Columbus has a team?

Very true, Shero is one of the better GM's at the trade deadline (Neal, Guerin, etc.) and if he had to give up one of their best D prospects+ for Morrow the market must be insane...

Which means we really need to sell off pieces. If Morrow can bring back Morrow what is the price for Umberger? Brass? Tyutin?

That trade is why I have been saying we need to trade players who aren't part of our future. Some people have gotten on me for it, but it just makes the most sense. Dallas realizes it even though they have a chance to make the playoffs. Great trade by their GM if it is true.

"The first pick overall, of course, belongs to the Edmonton Oilers yet again. After that, Columbus will make the first of their six first-rounders."

You would think the second 2 would have seen it....on a more positive note Caps beat Rangers in SO. Would have been better in regulation but the best given the circumstances.

You know, THAT is a team we could trade with. They need defense badly and they have goal scorers. Someone here mentioned Purcell. Richard Panik?

That's a solid deal for both teams. Brenden Morrow and a third for Joe Morrow and a fifth ... Pittsburgh still has at least 50,000 quality defense prospects, they move up two rounds in the draft to pick another one - and add a very good forward. The Stars land a potential top-powerplay unit defenseman. Solid trade - reminds me a little bit of the Neal/Goligoski trade, should work out for both teams in the long run.

His stats this year so far are 7 goals and 18 assists in 32 games. Looking at capgeek, his cap hit this year is $2,362,500 but after this season, for the next 3 years, his cap hit/salary goes up to $4.5 mil. Is he worth that? He is also 27, does he fit in the rebuild?

My understanding is that the Stars view the Neal/Goligoski trade as a calamity: Neal scores 40 goals, while Gogo can barely stay in the lineup.

And I don't know if Joe Morrow going for the dinged up Brenden Morrow shows that it is a seller's market. Joe Morrow is a disaster of a defenceman who has great offensive tools, but then in his first pro season has mediocre scoring. His stock has plummeted.

Douglas Murray for 2 2nd round picks....

At the rate guys are going for right now, we could probably move Nikitin for a 1st round pick..

Golig missed a small handful of games last year and has played 30 games this, at a 0.5 per game pace. I guess calamity is a bit over the top since Kunitz and Dupois have 19 and 15 goals thus far this season, with Neal having 17.

Dupois has an outside chance to challenge is career high in goals in 48 games (25).

Must be nice to play for the Pens.

Neal is a good player, he's not this good.

Imagine what Prospal could get.

I know he won't be moved because of this streak and his value in the room, but one has to wonder..
