I don't know why some people are implying he'd fake an injury to avoid being traded, he can already control not being traded with his NMC, he doesn't need to fake anything.

If he vetoes a trade it will get out and he will be vilified. This is an easy way out for the lazy little ****.

nope. Just not buying the story. This happened at yestedays practice and suddenly this came out today? Not buying it. The timing just reeks of BS.

per Tim P

Flyers says Danny Briere is OUT indefinitely with a concussion. He crashed into the boards SAT in a hard practice
First of all, ****. Second of all, what the hell did I just read. Third of all, ****.

Well, I don't think that the Flyers were going to ask him to waive anyway, so whatever.

Get well by the offseason Danny. We need to buy you out.

Wait Briere isn't playing...what are we going to do without his 13 points, -13, and 13 hits.

How the hell do give yourself a concussion in practice? Briere can do nothing right this season.

I've honestly never seen an NHL player go out indefinitely for crashing into the boards at a practice. This has to be a joke.

Nah. There will be a large continent of Flyers fans who think he is faking the concussion to avoid being traded.

Are we really putting on the tin foil hats here? Do we honestly think he did this on purpose to avoid a trade?

Did he go head first into the boards?? Mother****er. At least I won't get angry when he wasn't traded anyway.

If Briere was stuck on LTIR like Pronger it would completely handcuff the Flyers in the offseason with the 10% over cap rule.

You don't put Briere on LTIR. You buy him out in the summer. End of story.

I dont think so, but the timing really is PERFECT . The guy couldnt have timed it better. Right around a week before the deadline and he gets hurt. This protects him 100% from any trades.

Yep he just bent the team over hard! As soon as he is able to play I sit him for the rest of the year and when we can, buy him out. I am done with Frodo. Its time to cut bait.
