if san jose can sell out some pieces, i don't see why we can't at least sell hannan and sk. at least.. poile needs to maximize assets after the past few summers. draft picks are always a great thing when it comes to this franchise...

it wasnt 2 2nds straight out.. i believe the 2014 is conditional upon murray re-signing or some jazz

1) How the f is 'Douglas Murray' a Swedish name?

2) If Murray is worth 2 2nds does this make Hal Gill worth a 2nd?

2014 2nd round pick is conditional.

we would have done 2 2nds for gill if the 2nd one was conditional on say us winning a cup or gill re-signing with us. nothing really crazy or something we haven't seen before at deadlines.. not sure on hannan's value. maybe a 3rd?

Murray and Hannan are not that far off value wise. Murray is bigger and stronger but is about as good of a skater as Gill is.

what are you expecting for hannan? i think its inevitable he is dealt. weber, josi, klein, bartley, blum, gill, hannan, ellis have all played for us this year. no sense holding hannan.

ill say hannan returns us a 2013 3rd round pick and a 2014 4th round pick

Hannan is absolutely worth at least a third round pick. He should be able to net a second round pick in this market. Look at the scrubs that got seconds last year, and this market is even more barren of sellers.

I think he could get a 2nd from a desperate team.

Well other than Vancouver, who's a playoff team? Guy's getting near the end, he needs a sure thing. And there's no way Calgary fans would let him go to the Nucks.

montreal looks to be legit. toronto has a shot. winnipeg could get in. ottawa too. but i see your point. none of those scream "sure thing".. closest to that would be montreal.

What are the chances Jussi Jokinen makes it all the way to us on the waiver wire?

I'd say the odds a BIT better for us to land Jussi off waivers than for Clune to win the Byng, but yeah they are slim odds nonetheless.

From twitter, one GM was interested but doesn't want to pay him 3mil next year with the cap going down. Makes sense.
