Well, Semin did play very well in his contract year. So as all GM's do, they reward that one good year with an albatross contract.

Good job, Carolina. This is the same team that gave Skinner a 6 year, $34,350,000 contract coming off his ELC. Though that seems to be the norm now. Pay players what you think they're going to be worth, rather than on what they've proven.

God damn Devils. They get Loktionov and D'agostini for 5th round picks.

Meanwhile, the Pens drive all prices up by giving blue chip prospects and 2nd round picks for old, slow players.

According to Chico, Silfverberg lost the puck on the breakaway because he was nervous going against the legend, Marty Brodeur.

Well Chico, I do remember Silfverberg scoring a nice shootout goal against Marty...
