Remember when everyone was saying that we were just keeping the #1 spot in the NE warm for Boston since they'd get enough points in all their games in hand to pass us easily?

They used them all up and we're still ahead. SUCK. ON. THAT. WOOOOO!

And yeah, I'll be as obnoxious as I want after all the crap we had to take about that!

I don't care what anyone says, Kostka and Fraser are not NHL defensemen.

You can't expect to play those guys that many minutes and expect good things.

So much confusion and bitterness in that place. We're #1! No we're not! But jack edwards sez so! What about our game in hand?

Hilarity!

I second everything in this post. Let's just keep winning a game at a time, and watch them fade in the rearview mirror

One young lad thinks they have more goals than us. Do they even look at a newspaper - someone mail them the league stats...

All those games in hand - where we were all told that boston would rocket ahead based on that. Now here we are - 31 games each. And we're ahead! **** you bruins- feels good to say that!

Due to our generous assistance, Buffalo is creeping up on the eighth seed as well. Could every team in the Northeast make the playoffs?

It's getting increasingly likely that the 9th seed will have more points than the 3rd seed from the SE.

Did Edwards or some other Bruins stooge mention Max Pacioretty being jealous that the Bruins are in 1st place or something like that? Saw it mentioned over "there"?

Won't matter, some fans will still claim that every Western division is better.

Yeah, I read that a few times too. I think Jack's just hamming it up with his mistaken idea that they're in first. I'm sure he's been notified of his error by now.

EDIT: I figured out where it's from. Max said in an interview two weeks ago that Julien and the Bruins (after Julien's comments about embellishment) were jealous due to the Habs being in first. Now Edwards is mocking Max by saying we're jealous of them being in first place.

Man, he's going to feel so dumb when he finds out!

I understand that the Habs have not a gamebreaker player like Kane, Crosby or Malkin but they certainly have the pieces to get one (Desharnais or Eller+ Diaz or Beaulieu+ Kristo or Leblanc+ a first round pick).
Price, Subban and Markov are gamebreakers.

I wouldn't say Price is a gamebreaker as much as I'd say he's a stalwart force on our back end and gives us a chance to win each and every game. Gamebreaks are flashy and have big moments when you need them, whereas Carey rarely needs them because he's usually so solid when he's in normal mode.

Nope, Regulation and overtime wins (ROW) are the tiebreaker if the number of games played is the same. It's right there on the NHL.com standings page.

Returned last week.

Brown puts the Kings on top late in Chicago. Great game.

So the Bruins get the Habs on Wed on the 2nd night of a Habs back to back while they sit at home. Nice scheduling for the Bruins.

3/4 games Habs face the Bruins this season are on the 2nd half of a back to backs or the 3rd game of a 3 games in 4 day situation.

I think at the top of his game Price can steal a game or two. He hasn't had the opportunity yet but perhaps he could once we face a stronger opponent in the playoffs.

Like I said nice scheduling for the Bruins when playing the Habs. Need at least 1 win out of this very tough back to back against 2 of the top teams in the east.
