Terrible effort all night.
After their last 2 games being shutout, you kew the Kings would get some puck luck tonight, and they were definitely the hungrier team.

Kruger sucked.
Seabrook sucked.
Rozy looked lost.
Oduya was a turnover machine.

Oduya has a very difficult time handling a team that forechecks hard all game.

If that is the case, we need two new goalies. I don't think it is that bad though. Most of the players had poor games tonight.

And this coming from one of the biggest Emery supporters on the board.

It was a poor game by 75% of the team. So learn and move on.

I find it hard to believe that Jeremy Morin would not be a better option at the fourth line right wing position over Jamal Mayers with the current injuries to Hossa and Sharp.

What do Daniel Carcillo (post knee surgery) and Jamal Mayers (old age) bring to the Chicago Blackhawks anymore?

Yes Hossa and Sharp are out but that doesn't mean a few disturbing trends aren't something to be overlooked. This team has been bad D and G wise the last few games. All season long they have been outworked in the 3rd period and have given up goals late in periods.

Oh come on... give Emery some credit. He's been a pleasant surprise this season. Crawford has been as well, but as of late, Crawford is the one disappointing. Not placing all the blame on him because it wasn't his fault entirely that we lost tonight.

I may have said that Emery > Crawford thing out of high emotions after the game.

Hope we win tomorrow.

Your team is at the top of the NHL! You're also missing two very important top 6 forwards and the Kings got a little lucky (which frankly they were missing for the past two games). Although goaltending and D for both teams was not exactly great, why worry?

Bolland: worst forward on the ice, trade him for a used Zamboni while we still can.

Hayes: too slow and soft to forecheck at the NHL level, maybe a PP specialist in front ala Holmstrom-maybe.

Rozy: on the PP? Good God.

Saad: Doing OK but will get burnt out with the tough minutes he gets at this age.

Keith: receive puck; shoot. Quit always effin' hesitating.

This essentially the same team we've had, why do people expect different results? Playoff time will be a MAJOR challenge especially the way interference has already crept back into the league.

Can someone please explain why pay a 1st line D $12 mil a year if they don't go against the other team's #1 line?

Taking the opportunity to single out Bolland (again) when most of the team was asleep is a stretch. Saad has been good overall but needs to simplify his game and avoid trying to make the extra play (and turning it over as a result – his rookie mistakes have cost us lately, but better to get them out of the way now and learn from them). I also thought Hayes was one of our better players on a bad night. Shaw was obviously under the weather and it affected the entire 3rd line. Why we don’t have at least one other RFD forward up here is beyond me. Crawford was Crawford, 2 softies and lots of rebounds all night long, JO was JO, our board play was typical and our PP … well .. it was painful to watch. Hopefully Stan was watching.

And speaking of interference, the calls haven’t just crept out. They’ve inexplicably stopped calling them altogether and it is hurting this team badly.

On the upside, Jonny was great, if we’re going to slump, do it now and best of all, we play again tonight. Put this one behind us.

I can rightly post it after just about each game. I know you like him, but he's been just plain awful for 90% of the time.

Roszival on the PP D is a joke
Hayes on the 2nd line LW is a joke
Oduya and Hammer being the shutdown pairing is a joke
our 4th line right now, is a joke

Call up Smith and Morin, send Hayes back down, waive Mayers, and play Seabs and Keith against the other teams best.

Mainly, get Hossa and Sharp back and the team will be fine.

Mostly agree, except for the last sentence. It will be better, fine I'm not so sure.

They should end up being the #2 seed, but yeah, a 1st round exit is very likely.
