yeah, that was me. i put the bag on for the entire first period and most of the second. it was a pretty simple costume - two eye holes and a big sad mouth.

when edmonton woke up and started playing half decent i took it off.

the flames fans thought it was pretty funny. most suggested that they had been pretty tempted to do the same over the last 7 seasons. one of them even bought me a beer to help drown my sorrows.

frankly, it was good to see a renewed support for the flames. i've lived here long enough that i cheer for them in my spare time. i just wish that the excitement last night hadn't come at the expense of the oilers.

I will agree with you there LawnDemon. I used to live in the south also, in Canmore but I am now in Edmonton (perhaps I should change my name?). It used to be depressing going to the Saddledome and watching the Flames work fairly hard but not have the talent to finish the game. Come to think of it, rarely did I go to a game where I thought the Flames as a team absolutely stunk.

For the sake of the Flames I hope they make the playoffs. As far as the Oilers go, if one team is going to finish 7th or 8th, I'd rather it be the Flames. If someone can muster a run and finish 5th or 6th, I'd lke the Oilers to get in there.

Right now I want to see these guys light it up or stink it out. Either go into the playoffs strong or finish with the flair that will land us an Ovechkin.
