If Mikus learns his French in the Saguenay region, the Habs might have to hire Mario Tremblay as assistant coach to translate for him, when he gives interviews to Montreal reporters.

(I should know, I was born in Alma.)

I'm in a hurry to see Mikus plays for once... Really in the shadow of our others prospects... Good for him to play there!

With those names, it sounds more like "l'équipe des nations-Unis".

The Saguenéens will not have a really good team this year so he should have good icetime.

A good recipe for a young player trying to adapt to N.A. - to be a go-to guy on the team.

Nice, he didn't seem to receive the proper icetime in the slovakia men's league. Playing in the Q will only help him. It's a fast league and it's physical too. I hope he'll have a solid season and be ready for Hamilton the year after. Can't wait to see the kid play.

Well the only time I saw him play live was at the rookie development camp this summer, and his play in the scrimmage very much so impressed me.

I don't think you can draw a direct comparison between the two leagues, but it will certainly be interesting to see how he does here.

Well the easiest would be to say that Kost is two-way while Mikus seems, so far all offense. Skillwise and pure talent, Mikus seems to be the best one, but Kost has the advantage with his all-around play, not afraid of the physical play, and has a much better shot. As a matter of fact I would say that beside his defensive play, Mikus needs to work on his shots, wristers and slappers. But his footwork is much better than Kosty Jr. But seems softer than Kosty Jr. though at some occasions in these scrimmages, he didn't look that afraid to at least try to mix it up and win the puck with his hard work instead of his talent alone.

So they're definately not the same kind of players at all.

Kinda OT but related to the Q:

Frolik is expected tomorrow in Rimouski and the Bashkirov brothers are already in Quebec. Radulov will join the Remparts next week and will join Nashville 1 week later.
