Not sure yet. Might want to think about handcuffing Boggs just in case.

You could say that, I guess. But, Rios has been a streaky player from year to year.

So close. Thanks for playing, Worldwide Leader. RT @ESPN_NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning hire Don Cooper as new coach es.pn/109yyNd
Why would the Lightning hire a MLB pitching coach?

He can't be worse than Boucher can he?

Hopefully with Rios not playing in the playoffs it will suddenly add some MPH to Tims fastball?

And Lincecum can become the worst pitcher in the MLB, but that won't take away what he has accomplished. Lincecums career will always be better than Rios'.

Just because the Jays failed in developing Rios potential isn't a knock on the WS who did indeed. It means they are better at seeing said potential and exploiting it to its fullest.
uh huh

http://www.baseball-reference.com/pl...riosal01.shtml

His best seasons were in 2006, 2007 and 2008. WAR was higher every one of those years than his best year with the White Sox. Also, OPS and OPB were better with the Jays than the Sox.

And check out his stellar 2009 and 2011 seasons.

I think the Jays were quite happy getting him out of rightfield in Toronto to make room for his full-time replacement.

And that's fine. If living in the past and resting on ones laurels is the way Tim wants to be remembered, it really wouldn't be out of left field to call him a has been already, then.

Not how I would want to be remembered, but to each his own.

Save the advanced statistics for your fantasy draft. If AS were the end all be all, Adam Dunn, the best pure home run hitter in baseball, would be considered a lock for the HOF with two more years of similar production.

You do know this, correct? The fact that Rio's turned the corner under the watchful eye of Kenny Williams instead of toiling away his talents for a team with no chance at winning their own division doesn't diminish his impact while as a member of the White Sox.

The Jays have their own problems. Alex Rios sure wasn't one of them.

DL

But again, a team reknown for having 80% its roster spend ample time/s on the DL shouldn't be a shock anymore.

No he will start the year on the DL, back the first weekend of the season, probably miss 4 games.

Big loss there.

Romero is going to stay in the warm weather and work on his mechanics till the staff seems like he is ready to get called back up. Happ is a more than adequate 5th starter.

Jays are so good they can afford to make these moves right now.
