Someone stole Steve Penney's stanley cup ring.

I dont have all the details but I just saw the story on LCN. I think it was at the Pierre-fond hockey rink. He ususaly shows it to people lets them try it and stuff and then hands it back to some other guy who keeps it for him while he is on the ice. But this time he got careless and put it in his pants pockets and left it in the locker room. When he got back it was gone so were some other things belonging to other people in the same room.
Keep your eyes and ears open. I hope he gets it back.

It was stolen in Gatineau (Hull), at the Robert Guertin arena. He was at a Goaltending School and it got stolen from the locker room. What kind of person would do that? And it was in the Newspaper Ledroit and the writer asked every habs fan to try and look for it either on the web or in pawnshops.

Or maybe it was some kind of habs fan who didn't think Penney deserved that ring so he stole it.

I doubt he would have stolen other people stuff too then

I've played hockey a long time and thieves often go trough locker rooms to steal valuables stuff, that's why we always locked our rooms.

What would someone do with something like this?? Its not like you can show it off to anyone as its stolen and everyone will know where it came from.

Stupid thing to steal, you can't sell it, you can't do anything with it.

Hopefully someone will anonymously turn it in and steve will get his ring back.

yeah, stealing in arena is common, a few month ago nearby of my town I heard that they stole all the clothes of the guys while they were on the ice, including their ID and keys... they all had to change their house's locks and they didnt have any clothes to leave the arena .

Seriously it sucks for penney but it's a little ignorant, everyone know stealing in arena is common...

It`s wrong on so many levels what happened but when my brother-in-law told me we couldn`t help but crack up like crazy in a "poor pathetic Steve it had to happen to him" way.

Anyway, I hope they catch the fool that did this.
