Not sure if I like MPS for Erixon, if he was a ***** about playing in Calgary, I can't imagine he'd be worth the deal for Edm. I am liking MPS A LOT lately.

Especially if Erixon turns out... he is a good #5 today... paired with N. Schultz on third unit if you still have him lol. In future I could see Erixon-Klefbom being a good unit... both big guys who can play all zones.

The Canucks GM has awoken after thinking about trades....dreaming about winning a cup (since it never happens).

Just a heads up regarding picks. It's going to be impossible for me and the Nuge to keep track of who has what picks when this thing really gets off. If the picks turn out to be inaccurate we will give the teams a chance to revise the deal. If this fails, then picks can and will be taken away by the league. I think that sounds fair. Everyone okay with that?

i think as long as guys update their roster with accurate picks then we shoudl be alright. if you trade a pick you dont have then you lose an additional pick imo

Some really solid realistic trades... Stastny for Yandle is especially one I could see happening for real...

I have been the busiest I think so some breakdown:

/

Peter Mueller (81) Scottie Upshall (79) for Ales Hemsky (83) Ryan Jones (79)

Oilers move out two near-UFAs for younger cheaper controlled assets... Panthers get a good fill-in for Vertseeg on first line right now in Hemsky and a good 4th liner

/

Andy McDonald (81) Ian Cole (76) STL 1st '13 for Brian Campbell (83/50% salary) Shawn Matthias (76)

The only way Panthers were going to get full value for Campbell was taking hit on his contract... with plenty of cap space to come $3.6M not a major concern for four years... Florida also addresses 1C/2C spot with McDonald today... Cole and Matthias are an even swap

Blues acquire top-tier offensive D to give them maybe deepest D in West (Shattenkirk, Pietrangelo, Polak, Campbell, Jackman)

/

Marcel Goc (79) for CAR 2nd '13 and Keegan Lowe (N/A)

Canes shore up C depth for a pick and a prospect buried in their pipeline... Lowe is perfect future gritty bottom pair guy that Panthers can slot in one day soon.

/

Filip Kuba (83) for COL 3rd '13

Avs pick up veteran D depth to help fill holes with their big moves today... Panthers get a future in a deep draft

Not understanding the thought process of Hemsky and Jones for Mueller and Upshall. I'd take both our players over those two.
