Hawks' Remaining Regular Season Schedule

Here it is, the remaining 16 games.

Fri, Mar 29 vs Anaheim 8:30 PM
Sun, Mar 31 @ Detroit 12:30 PM
Mon, Apr 1 vs Nashville 8:30 PM
Thu, Apr 4 vs St. Louis 8:30 PM
Sat, Apr 6 @ Nashville 3:00 PM
Sun, Apr 7 vs Nashville 7:00 PM
Tue, Apr 9 @ Minnesota 8:00 PM
Fri, Apr 12 vs Detroit 8:30 PM
Sun, Apr 14 @ St. Louis 12:30 PM
Mon, Apr 15 vs Dallas 8:00 PM
Fri, Apr 19 vs Nashville 8:30 PM
Sat, Apr 20 vs Phoenix 8:30 PM
Mon, Apr 22 @ Vancouver 10:00 PM
Wed, Apr 24 @ Edmonton 9:30 PM
Fri, Apr 26 vs Calgary 8:30 PM
Sat, Apr 27 @ St. Louis 8:00 PM

Remaining games by opponent:
Anaheim, Minnesota, Dallas, Phoenix, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary - (7)
Detroit - 2
St. Louis - 3
Nashville -4

Other info:
Home games - 9
Road games - 8
Games against teams currently in playoffs as of today - 8
Games against teams not currently in playoffs as of today - 9

Back-to-backs - 4 (half the remaining games are in back-to-back scenarios)

March 31st to April 14th - Two weeks, 8 games, only 4 opponents, and 7 divisional games including 3 in a week against Nashville

Observations:
With Nashville on the outside looking in, and playing the Hawks 4 times the rest of the way out, those will be huge games and I expect NSH to come ready to play. Same can be said with St. Louis in the 7th spot, only 2 points away from being in a situation similar to Nashville. 3 games left against them, and they should be dandies.

Vancouver, Minnesota, Nashville, and Detroit have won a combined 17 in a row.

What's everyone's thoughts and prognostications on how the rest of this plays out?

Man... So with 5 points and 3 games in the W column up on Anaheim, you have us ****ing the bed the rest of the way out and succumbing them eventually.

Anaheim's remaining 16 game schedule:
Dallas & Edmonton: 3 each
LA & Columbus: 2 each
Chicago, Vancouver, Colorado, San Jose, Calgary, Phoenix: 1 each

It's possible they pick up 5 more points than us over that stretch for certain.

Love the way the playoffs set up right now. We get a bad Sharks team, Anaheim gets to take a pounding from the Blues and the Canucks and Kings get to slug it out.

Best case scenario would be we get the Wings or Wild in the 2nd round.

8.

And considering Nashville's tied for the 8th spot...you could essentially call it 12. 13 if you consider Dallas' proximity. Either way...I'm of the opinion that the Hawks are going to start facing playoff type hockey situations and conditions almost immediately.

Not much break time in there, looks like 4/16-4/18 is the only time left we have three days off in a row. If the injury bug bites now, it's going to be especially harmful with no real long periods of time off in there.

16 in 30. We have a game once every less than 2 days. Pretty crazy. This is where I'm glad we have depth in they system. The games are going to get more intense, and they're plenty frequent. Common sense dictates people ARE going to get hurt and miss time, regardless of for how long.

Speaking of... Anyone know when Sharp and Hoss are due back? Christ...just having both of them truly healthy will be like a monster trade deadline acquisition.

Anyone watch Detroit dismantle Anaheim last weekend?

It was all Babcock. His subtle adjustments on a team by team basis is what keeps Detroit so successful.

Poor Boudreau was sending that strong 2 man forecheck and Babcock says "ok, I'll just keep another forward back when we retrieve the puck." So the Wings patiently make sure to have a third open man back to pass to while under pressure and slowly put to shame the Anaheim forecheck, which is responsible for them forcing a lot of their zone time. Q needs to take notes. Let Toews/Bolland/Shaw/Kruger know they need to head back to their zone before completing the change, it's crucial, especially with Oduya around.

They did that for the first 24 games of the season...

I don't understand why everyone thinks the Ducks will take over the1 seed. We're still up on them and they are not exactly dominating anymore.

Getting smoked 3-0 in the 1st against SJ again tonight. Strangely, they've not been as sharp since Perry came back.

I think the Hawks will keep the top spot. I'd prefer the Hawks don't have to play the Ducks in the playoffs though.
