I'm sort of shocked by the comments stating they don't follow the rest of the league. I understand some of you have families or not as much free time, but I try to watch every game that I can.

I confess to having zero interest in the eastern conf. If i do have extra time I do try to watch WC games though. Since they impact us and all. I agree that it's strange (especially with college hockey wrapping up) that people don't watch extra games.

It's actually been one of the best things about this season - the condensed schedule. Less waiting between wild games.

I enjoy watching Florida. I like cheering for teams that many people tend to scoff at or disregard...the whole underdog thing. And I can stand their announcers, which is not true for more than half of the league.

I pretty much split my time 50/50 between the Ducks and the Wild. A bit of a bandwagoner in the sense that while I've followed both teams through thick and thin, if one is winning and the other is losing consistently, I'll be following the winner more. But so far I've managed to watch most of the games from both teams and with both currently playing well, I'm quite content.

Last season? Not so much, both teams underperforming / injury riddled.

Not everyone has the NHL network or Center Ice package.

So I'm limited to what I can see on NBC Sports, and the rest I just follow the game results on NHL.com

Good point, but I think most of the people here have admitted to using streams.

I personally use Game Center since I don't have cable.

Even though I pay for High Speed DSl ..... all the hockey streams I ever get, are so slow/spotty, that I can't enjoy watching the game.

So if its not on my cable TV, I don't see it. (and I even upgrade to the Digital package JUST to get NBC Sports/Versus)

Depends on the viewpoint. There are people who are just hockey fans who have their team, and then follow the NHL. Then there are "American/insert other nations traditional sports here" sports fans" and then there are people like me that take all of it way too seriously and follow around more than 30, perhaps more if I count different leagues of sports.

For instance, on any given weekend I have about 10+ different sporting events going on, most of them NOT being hockey, so why would I watch something I have no "tie in" to instead of watching things that I do? I don't have time to watch a random NHL game when I could be watching say, the U in the NCAA wrestling finals instead.

I mean, I have THREE hockey teams I follow - Wild, U and the Toledo Walleye. That's just the same bloody sport, not even the 25 others I'm interested in and follow. In my spot it's too widespread to follow "leagues", so you mainly have to follow teams.

Also, I'm at the point that with no rooting interest I could care less. You watch so much of the same stuff over and over and it's the same unless it's your squad. You can only listen to the same hyperbole and cliches so much.

Usually about 20 years of that and I think most go down that route unless they aren't massive fans of other teams or sports.

But another team in Atlanta could force the Red Wings to the Midwest division. Remote as it sounds I approve.

I think if there is expansion in the East, it will be Markham, ON (Toronto)...and they will be placed in the Midwest. Makes sense to put them in a different division/conference than the Maple Leafs as it would give them their own identity and rivalries.

Damn this is a hard one. I always try to aim at Wild games when staying up so probably I'll just pick the most interesting game rather than team. But if ask which are interesting games... Probably the ones without Rangers, Jackets, Flames, Coyotes, Panthers, Kings, Senators, Blues, Tampa and Jets. Unless there is a nice rivalry going like Ducks-Kings etc. But in the other hand I wish Jackets all the best and hope they reach playoffs. Or at least would tank and remake their franchise with 3 1st round picks. Interesting team at the moment.
