I'm just saying bragging about Stanley Cup final losses doesn't make much sense to me.
Briere pointed out that the Sabres were headed to the post-season while the Leafs were headed to the golf course. He also said that "it's just sad that players like (Tucker) are still around this league."
Did the comments hurt Tucker's feelings?
"Hurt? By a guy like that? I mean how many playoff games has he ever played? Two?" Tucker told the Toronto Star. Told the number was actually six, Tucker shrugged.
"I don't think he can hurt me when I've played 80-plus playoff games and been to a conference final. Tell him to come back and talk to me when he has done that."
Darcy seems quite proud of losing an ECF, so can't we be proud that we went to a Cup Final and didn't lose legitimately?
(By the way is Darcy hurt now that Briere has an ECF loss under his belt?)
